I'm loving this little mirror. It is perfect for small hands. My 7 months old ba Drby has it in his toiletries basket, which is just to elicit his curiosity. We do not know if he sees himself, but they are times where our eyes cross through the mirror, and it sparks curiosity. The mirror seems well made, smooth, and I like that it has a small rope tied to the end. I would prewash with soap, and hot water briefly, then quickly towel-dry if it is to be used with children.
