Hilarious!
Hilarious!!! Absolutely hilarious!!! I do have one criticism, tho. I don't like that they used the music from Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (Gene Wilder.) Yeah, hate the music. But the movie is a 10/10. I absolutely love it, and I'll recommend it to my friends.

Not for the 'serious' Marvel fan, but a seriously entertaining film
I expected to hate this movie. But it's self-deprecating and funny.Plot (no spoilers): Marvel allowed a bit of an irreverent stab at itself with this film, which was refreshing. There are both subtle and in-you-face jabs at the genre as a whole, the characters, and general superhero tropes, and it's pulled off very well. There was no point in making this a serious movie given the outlandish (even for a comic book film) premise, but it's as important to the overall story arc of the Avengers as any film in the series. It's over the top - but it's supposed to be. 4 stars.Acting: Mr. Hemsworth showed a lot of range in this movie. I've seen a few generally comic actors try their hand at action roles with varying effects; Hemsworth pulls off the reverse very well. If you didn't like him before, you may want to run out and grab a beer with him after. There's enough room in character development for the role players to showcase their skills, and they all kill it. I'm not a Benedict Cumberbatch fan, but his brief appearance as Dr. Strange outpaces his work in Infinity War by a long shot. I'm also not big on Cate Blanchett, but she nails her role as the antagonist while still working in some surprising comic effect. 5 stars.Cinematography: If heavy CGI use offends you, then stay away. But if that's the case, you should probably not watch Marvel movies at all. The visuals are striking (this movie is one of the rare ones that is does the 3D concept some justice) and the score - while reeking of 80s campiness - fits the scenes and the mood in every aspect. This movie toes the line between film, comics, and video games and tightropes it very well. 4 stars.Overall: If you expect a gritty, serioius movie then move on. If you're looking for something that can make fun of itself as well as the Deadpool franchise and still let your kids watch, this isn't a bad way to spend a couple of hours at all. 4+ stars.
