Hear Me: A Prayer Book for Orthodox Young Adults

IT IS SO TINY! I am older now and can't see as well, BUT I was getting this for a young person and I am not sure that they will even be able to read it easily; and one of the reasons I got the book was because it seemed to make accessing prayers easy. So though the book may giveth, the print size taketh away.

Wonderful pocket edition of a prayer book. I am especially please with the sections that discuss issues facing my teenage son (particularly the section on dating/relationships). I am trying to discuss these things with him with an Orthodox worldview, and it is nice to be able to read it together. That way he knows that it is not just his mother saying these things, but the Church as well.

I gave this book to all of our teenagers at Church. It is well written with teens in mind.

My review is less about content and more about quality of cover/binding. Though there is nothing wrong with the prayers themselves, I do find the layout to be slightly more desired. To me, the layout is not the easiest to follow compared to other similar Orthodox prayer books. However, my largest complaint deals with the physical quality of the materials this book is made from. The cover is similar to a composite notebook, and the entire book has a cardboard-like rigidity when trying to open and flip between pages. I would expect at least one step higher in material quality.In my opinion, there are other similar prayer books that have the same material better laid out that are produced from higher quality materials.

A wonderful resource! The prayers and articles are great. My only complaint is the cheap binding. How about an upgrade??

small prayer book 4x6. Filled with short prayers for many situations

Great prayer book, contains many of the essential Orthodox prayers, in easy language without losing any of the beauty of them. The helps to understanding and explaining Orthodox dogma are great for young adults and teenagers.
