Premium Bamboo Pull-out Cutting Board - 8 Different Sizes to Fit Most Standard Slots 17.75"W x 22"D x 3/4"H

I bought the smallest sizing, which advertises as a 14 x 20. Be warned the board is not 14 x 20... instead it's a 13.5" x 20", which then very unhelpfully states on the wrapper, that it will fit into a standard 14" slot. Well sure it'll fit, since it's missing half an inch... that's basic math, but what it doesn't do now, is stay in the slot and remain level.So obviously it wouldn't fit in my 14 1/4 slot, as it was much to narrow. Would have instantly returned it, but couldn't find a better sizing and needed one on the rush. So I borrowed a chop saw and spent 2 hours making and installing little bitty shims and bumpers inside my slot in order for this thing to fit well enough to remain level and not move around like a floppy fish. The board seems nice enough... but I am very displeased with the inaccurate sizing. Hope I save someone else the headache. I wish companies would just put the actual size! Clearly they want to market for some standard 14" slot, but figure they can trim it down a bit and save on production costs. Bunch of pricks-

I purchased this cutting board to replace a very old slide-in cutting board, just above my silverware drawer. The new one fits perfectly. I liked the option of buying a cutting board made from bamboo, as I know it is a hard, reliable wood. I have oiled one side already, with FOOD GRADE mineral oil. I laid it on a towel, on my counter, over night. It soaked up the oil nicely.

Purchased this as a gift for my wife (she asked for one, don't judge me) for her birthday (we're a very practical family). I needed a cutting board that not only fit the existing slot in the kitchen cabinet but was also food safe, sturdy, and preferably one sustainably made. I didn't really care if it was pretty, it was going to spend its time in one of two states: hidden in its storage slot out of sight, or covered in the remains of sacrifices to our gluttonous American diet. The fact that it looks pretty was just bonus.Thanks to the advent of the technology known as "measuring", I was competent enough to order the right size cutting board so the first criteria was met. The new cutting board weighs almost twice what the existing cutting board does (the old one was original to the house, made in the 60s, probably of materials on California's Prop 65 "List of Things That Will Kill You Slowly"). This new board is strong enough to double as a form of home defense. I don't think it'll stop a bullet but you could probably bludgeon a home intruder to death with it in a pinch. At the least, easily put them in a coma. Definitely sturdy, so second criteria also met. It's made of bamboo, or in the Latin Bambusoideae (which translates to "The most difficult grass to cut down using a lawn mower"). Like most grasses, it grows fast and is everywhere so it meets the criteria of being sustainably made which will help me sleep better at night.My only complaint about this cutting board is that I think it costs way more than a simple plank made of wild grass should cost. I'm hoping its durable enough I wont have to replace it for a long time. If it only lasts a year or two, it would be more cost effective to buy a saw and make my own cutting board next time.

Beautiful board. Very nicely done except for one little problem: The SIDES are not contoured as shown in the photos. Only the ends are contoured. If that is important to you because your slot is contoured on each side, it may not fit or will be a tight fit as mine is. I may use my sander to round the sides just a little for better movement. Other than that, it is very heavy, very solid and beautiful. Have food grade mineral oil as well as mineral oil with wax to use with it. To the review that complained about knife marks - you will always have them with wood. This is why wood is easier on your knifes. Bamboo is not extremely hard so marks may show more, but keep it washed and oiled and sanded every couple of years and you should love forever.

I had an in-counter cutting board that was old and not easily cleaned so I only used it as another platform to put a cutting board on. When it broke, I was heartbroken and everyone told me the in-counter boards were so expensive. I found this one on line and I had a gift card with a small amount left on it. I measured my opening and made my best guess. (I can't measure to save my life!) They made it so easy! Just select the closest match - for obvious reasons, I selected the one that what just smaller than what my opening was. It arrived quickly and fit PERFECTLY! I am so happy with this purchase. I have had it for several months now. I use it daily. It has wonderful knife speed and doesn't mark up easily. I still have no visible knife cuts in my board. It is super easy to clean. I wipe it down and then clean it with salt after each use and wipe it down with a damp clean paper towel after. Beautiful. I love this product! It was a great deal for the price! I would definitely purchase this again!

I first measured the present breadboard that has been in this house since remodeling in the 60,s that fit into a slot on the cabinet, then checked to see which size would replace current and made sure length, width and thickness were exact. The breadboard arrived on time as stated, was sealed inside the packaging and then I used a food grade oil and have been oiling each side now for three days as suggested for one week. It looks and feels great. It fits properly into my slot and with the oiling is nearly the same shade as the cabinet. Would definitely recommend

I ordered this board before in a different size and it didn't fit into my cabinet slot ..so I gave it to my mom. Now I ordered again and it's the correct size. This is a very quality cutting board. And I ordered it on the 12th and received on the 14th..and this was without a rush delivery service and I'm not a prime member. You'll be happy with this purchase (well packed) this company seems to care of the quality of their products (2 thumbs up)

We bought this to put at the end of our camper's very short countertop. We attached it with 2 locking hinges and have dramatically increased our kitchen space (necessary when there are 2 chefs). I can't comment on its durability since we've only had it up for a week, but it looks like it will be around forever. I wish it was less expensive, but you get what you pay for!
