Brilliant even without Alexa and Awesome with it
Bought this on Friday and it arrived Saturday. Had to do a bit of research as the information provided is a bit … well... wanting but a search for "Broadlink and Alexa" provided a mine of information. But you need a little patience. Ignore the bad press and moans about Alexa - there are ways to get this working brilliantly with Alexa if you are prepared to persevere a little.Even forgetting Alexa connection for the moment - this is an utterly brilliant and inexpensive piece of kit. Basically you can operate any IR device within its range from your mobile device and create macros (or Scenes) to combine commands. On that mark alone it is worth 4 stars (so unfair to mark it down because of any perceived problems with Alexa). It is working jolly nicely in my living room operating my TV, Sky Box, BD Player and AV Receiver via an Echo Dot. Yes an Echo Dot - so Alexa does work with it.It can be a little awkward to set up. The Broadlink apps, IHC for EU does work (as of October 2018) albeit not quite as brilliantly as it could. Basically Alexa will only really recognise your devices if you set them up as if they are TVs and you must (at least when doing the Device Discovery) be on the 2.4GHz network. However, at the moment, scenes (macros) do not work at the moment although Broadlink are supposed to be working on it.However, if you follow advice from the Internet (I am not allowed to give specifics apparently) and also use the rather excellent RM Plugin app then you get all of this anyway (albeit having actions work a bit like on/off switches). I did and the results are very pleasing indeed. My full setup uses both the IHC for EU app, the Broadlink Smart Home for EU Alexa Skill and it also uses the RM Plugin app on an Android media box I had as well. All these sort of things have limitations you need to work with! I say well done to Broadlink for making this so affordable. For the price it is utterly brilliant.

Works well once setup, via Goo Home
here's how I setup 1. Get the app - there are 3 -choose 'intelligent home center' by Broadlink 1.NOT the EU version, or the 'e-control' app 2.create an account 3.turn on the RM mini. I had to do a hard reset 4.use the app to find the broadlink device 5.setup your devices. give them names different from existing goo home devices. 1.you may have to manually 'learn' controls using your remote controls 6.create 'scenes' for the common tasks (e.g. turn off all devices, turn on TV and Amp to right setting) 1.to command the G.Home, you'll need to say "hey goo, activate [scene name]", so choose a name which will not confuse google, e.g. 'game over' for turn all off 7.go to g.home app, 1.add device > setup device >works with goo- link your smart home servicess... > find "broadlink smart home" > sign in. 2.you should then be shown the devices you've added in the broadlink app and prompted to add them to a roomyou should now be able to *activate [scenes name] *turn on/off [device name in app] *customise the 'nicknames' for the above via your settings in google home app. *"hey google, sync my devices" may work to refresh scenes, but i've not tested.

Great product
I have 2 of these plus a RMpro. They are great but the Alexa integration is giving some problems. If you buy it for Alexa think twice. Otherwise is a very nice little kit

Completely useless
I was enticed in by the misleading sales strapline, "works with Alexa". If you want a two line summary, it doesn't.I bought this while adding to my home automation arsenal (and also a chronic inability to find the remote control). What could be better than "Alexa, turn the TV volume up by 5", or "Alex, put BBC 1 on". The device is small, looks pretty sleek, comes with a micro USB cable (but not a wall charger), the packaging is neat and comes with instructions which are easy to follow (if slightly Chinglish). The IHC app is easy to find on the Android playstore, fairly intuitive and finds the device. Once the device is paired with my Broadlink account, I select the make of my TV, and cycle through some button layouts - I press a few buttons and hit "It not work well", and eventually it finds a compatible code set.ALL GOOD.So now I can use the IHC Android app as a TV remote control, which is very nice, but I could do that on a late 90s phone with IR. Voice Control is the killer app here, so I click the Alexa instructions, which tells me it is supported in English (UK), and "Smart Remove Control RM Mini 3" is a supported device, and gives some example phrases which will work once I link my account.PERFECT.So I go to the Alexa app, Skills and easily locate the Broadlink Smart Home skill. And this is where the whole process goes tits up. Sign in; I offer the email address and password I created in the Android app, but no, my credentials were wrong. I try again, carefully putting in my password. Still no luck. I click the reset password link, but I've used up my 10 password reset tokens for the day. I saw a suggestion that my Alexa and Broadlink accouts have to use the same email address, so I reset the device using a pin and pretty much go back to the top of this review, repeating all the steps (which now seem to take longer, the poor English gets more annoying, but eventually works). I sign in again with my Alexa email address. But no, my password is incorrect. Can I reset it? Of course not, the account I've only just set up has also exceeded its 10 reset credits.Absolute junk. Amazon, you really should challenge products who describe items as "works with Alexa"; if it doesn't, it makes your product look bad.

Convenient and smart device... if you can figure out setup
Lovely little device if you are able to deduce how to set it up. It is NOT a straightforward easy setup like any google smart device would be, however, I linked my TV, sound bar, and and ‘dumb’ remote controlled HunterDouglas window blinds in under 30 minutes.Linking to google home for voice control took a bit of troubleshooting but once I have it working, I haven’t taken for granted one time in the month I’ve had it. So convenient to tell google “I’m home” to have my blinds shut and tv turned on.It seems to work from odd angles given the 360 degree IR blast and learns devices very easily. No more batteries or searching for remotes. And the price is more than reasonable

Very useful
Very useful product when handling multiple devices with ir remotes. Linked to Google Home works fine. I found it extremely easy to setup. You can add custom buttons to the remote. So add what ever you want to ur remote. Can access remotely from anywhere and very useful for home automation.

Excelente
