My dustjacket is 8.5 inches tall and 21 inches wide. Would this be the right Brodart mylar sleeve for me?

Yes. That would be the right mylar sleeve for you. You will just have to adjust the height from 12" to 8.5" by folding the bottom. You can then cut 5 inches off the length to get it to 21 inches. Seldom do I get a mylar sleeve the EXACT size of my dust jacket. I always get a size a little larger. Then, I fold the bottom and cut the length, so it fits. If you haven't covered a dust jacket before, I would recommend going to Youtube. The have several videos on how to cover a book in mylar.
