I can't speak highly enough of my first impressions of this bit of kit. I've mentioned in other reviews I love the value of Neewer products and this one is no exception. This product was the missing piece of my photography foundations. I will definitely buy another. The modifier umbrella is not bad but doesn't use a Bowen mount so is bit more tricky to make adjustments to the strobe as it is inside the velcro'd modifier rather than on the rear of Octa. I took this picture within 10 minutes of getting the item delivered without reading the instructions so pretty easy to get a good result straight out of the box. Imagine what's possible when the settings are dialled in correctly.

Really excellent build quality, performance is as described, and the battery life on this is truly phenomenal. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a solid strobe at a truly affordable price.

I’m really pleased that I opted for this model. It gives some really impressive results. Decent value for money. My only minor gripe is the battery life, but nothing that can’t be overcome by having spare if you anticipate a very busy session 😊

Great product, as a pro photographer I am constantly working in new and odd places and I've never had an issue with this. I have used it in the centre of london by tower bridge all the way to shooting in a studio and it has always kept up. Best of all... No wires, so great when it comes to risk assessments

Good product but battery doesn't charge at all .. I don't know if this is just a faulty one that I have but I have had it on charge for ages and it remains on 1 bar

I have a small photo studio, so I really like to collect this medium flash. This light from Neewer surprised me very much! Because there are so many wires on the ground, and this product is just wireless! It looks a lot cleaner, I am going to buy a single copy as a spare. And it works especially well with my camera, there is no delay in the wireless remote(of course this is what it should do). Secondly, it can be completely detached from its bracket, that is to say, it can be held by hand. This is very practical. In general, it is very cost-effective and suitable for small studios. I may try to get outside to experience it :)

I own several other products from this brand and had no idea they also sold strobes, so I decided to give this a go and I was not disappointed! The main selling point for me was the fact that it is battery operated, it performs as described and the batteries really make it so that you can take it pretty much anywhere, within reason.
