FoodSaver Fresh Appliance and Fresh Containers bundle

This think is great. I have lived alone for most of my life and have been through several foodsavers. I often loan mine to other singles in my group. This one is really cool with the containers for soft items. I bought two sets of the containers and they are always being used. They work really well with keeping fresh herbs in the fridge. Guac also lasts a lot longer and does not oxidize as badly (it comes in a container which I put into the food saver container. This one is super easy to use and takes up little space on the counter so it can stay out. I still use my big one for some things, but this one gets a daily workout.Some people have said they had problems with the containers sealing. I did find that sometimes I had to press down on the corners of the container while it was in the machine to get the green spot to dimple. But normally they work just fine for me.

This works great. Since I cook for one I can't use up a whole bottle of sauce or package of veg. I freeze sauces in silicone ice cube trays, pop them out when frozen then seal them and stick them back in the freezer. I can take out just what I need and reseal the rest for later. I freeze lemon juice the same way, and salsa. I've kept a bag of power greens fresh for over two weeks in the larger hard container. It's a big help and money saver if you're cooking for one. I really like the small foot print. I keep it a corner of the counter next to my fridge so it's handy to reseal something quickly. I live at 4500 ft and my previous vacuum sealer didn't work well at that altitude. This one works fine.

Great product and easy to use. My small hand held sealer would not keep a charge so I bought this product. Three times if not mistaken. One for me and 1 each for my daughters

I don't write reviews often but am so pleased with this that I need to . I debated about buying a larger, more expensive food saver and am really glad I did not. I am one person and find that food spoils often because I do not use it in time. This counter top food saver really sucks all of the air out of the bags, and I assume the canisters as well, but you can't really see it. It is ridiculously easy to use. Like others have stated, the containers are hard to open once vacuumed, but I used the trick one reviewer posted and stick a spoon lightly under the rubber seal and it opens right up. Its small and sits on the counter so I use it like any other counter top utensil without the need to store it after each use. Very pleased with this purchase. UPDATE: still works great but not nearly as well on moist food. I now know why some food savers have a moist food setting. Also, it is VERY loud, didn't think it would matter to me but its so loud that I wonder if it bothers the neighbors in the next apartment. The canister stopped working after about a month. All in all for the price, a great product.

I bought a handheld Foodsaver first....after 1 year it broke! I thought it was a bargain price and easy to store and much cheaper than the bigger ones. Boy was i disappointed! So this time around i checked ALL the different models and saw this one. I immediately liked the look of it and the price was reasonable. The reviews were good so i decided to take a chance! It was worth it!! As soon as i got it...i set it on my counter (nice and slim fitting for my galley kitchen) and started to use it. It was sooo simple and boy does it work fantastic! I pulled out several items in my fridge and sealed them. Fantastic! Worth the money. Now i hope it lasts!! =)

I haven’t tried using the included bags, but it works very well with the FoodSaver containers (3, 5, 8, and 10 cups). You can’t use it on the marinade container, but you wouldn’t want to anyway without a way to switch to that mode. You really need a 3000 series machine for that. But even if you have a 3000 series or any other series for that matter, this is still a great thing to have if you use the FoodSaver containers.You can’t do jar sealing with it out of the box, but it wouldn’t be too difficult to design and 3-D print an adapter that would allow you to attach jar sealers. to the unit.

Thank you for the fast shipping and great packaging!! No damage to report. Also very surprised that I received it weeks in advanced! I love the FoodSaver system. Have been using the traditional rolled and customed cut bags for years but then found out about this system. Love that the tower vacuum seals bags and containers. Love that it automatically senses the bag/container, seals, and turns itself off when finished. Love the reusable feature of the ziplock bags. I felt bad throwing away the perfectly good plastic bags after one use.There were a few nuances that needed special attention for the best result. One of them was the container lid has to be on just perfect for the vacuum seal to work and the other was the little green plastic piece on the inside of the lid that was removed for cleaning need to be flushed to the lid.Thus far, I have used the system to preserve fruits, cut vegetables, salad, and marinade meat. Most turned out great, especially the freshness of the herbs! There was one item that had a so-so result and that was the raspberries. Granted non-preserved raspberries would probably grow mold after two days. The vacuum sealed raspberries after 6 days looked ok but tasted rancid like they did go bad. Lesson learned. Still love this system!

I have a large foodsaver, but the bags are not reusable. This one is easy to,use and I’ve used the same bag a few times already
