Staub is the best!
Bought this covered loaf pan mainly for the cover without thinking much about the end results and all I can say is WOW!!! Perfect French bread every time with a chewy crust and tender crumb, best meatloaf ever. Can't wait to try banana or cinnamon bread next. I really don't know why I was surprised when all of my other Staub pieces never disappoint. Pricey, but oh sooo worth it.

Not a 12 inch loaf pan as listed
I love Staub products but this listing is wrong. I have notified both sellers about the wrong inches on this listing and nothing has been changed so far. It is a smaller, regular sized loaf pan. Also, this size has been discontinued and sellers are clearing their inventory. Do not purchase through manufacturer, they won't refund purchases even if there is a problem with the item, I learned the hard way. As with almost all Staub products this loaf pan is well made and beautiful.

I think Amazon gave me a great deal on this pan. This is my third Staub and I think they are the best by far. I made banana bread and it came out perfect. The heat is distributed evenly and clean up was easy. I was pleasantly surprised that the bottom of my pan is a dark green. I assumed the whole bottom was black and just the lid was red. It's a great piece to have and you won't be sorry. This is something you will use for years.

Not made of Card Board!!!
This is a great product. This Staub "loaf thingy", as I like to call it, is constructed of a firm, metal-like substance, not like the cheap card-board imitators. And it's plainly stamped "Made in France", which give me great confidence that it's a quality item, like French-made laptops and exhaust systems.
