My favorite garden pruners for flower beds.
I cannot garden without these pruners. Very sharp. Useful for a lot of garden pruning, but I particularly like them for deadheading flower beds.

Perfect for Heavy-duty Cutting Jobs
Excellent Shears, I used them to hand-shear my Bluefaced Leicester Sheep who had a years worth of fleece on them. I found them to be safer and easier than regular sheep shears. I thought it would take a lot of time to receive them as they are coming from the UK, but I received them in less than a week! If you have serious cutting to do that involves heavy fabric or materials, I recommend these as they are extremely sharp and hold their cutting edge very well. There was no hand fatigue because they spring open just right for the next cut.

Wowzer - work great to shear thick wooly matted sheep!
Read the reviews before purchasing but was skeptical if their performance would be commensurate with the cost...so put them to the test day they arrived on a thickly matted sheep that hadn't been sheered in at least 4 years and WOW THEY WORK FANTASTIC. Well worth the purchase price and I also trimmed my mules mane and the long sharp blades made a nice even cut and did the job beautifully in a snap. The blades are 'self sharpening' so I'm hopeful with proper care they will remain sharp for a long time.

Huge shearing time saver
My shearing time was almost halved. I went from two+ hours to shear down to about an hour. I wish that I started out with Jakoti instead of the $20 bowtie shears. Some of my fleeces are overdue and have felted on the sheep. The Jakoti are sharp enough to slice directly through the matted wool. The bowtie shears either can't do that at all or can't do it safely. With the bowties, I have to thread carefully between the skin and the matted areas, which can be as small as a quarter inch... And the sheep often choose that moment to buck. With Jakotis, I can slice down through the matt directly, in multiple passes if necessary. Also the tips of the shears are not sharp (unlike my bowties), so my sheep get poked less often, which keeps them calmer.

These are wicked sharp!!
I got these shears to shear my sheep, in addition to my electric clippers. These are some nice shears, very high quality, extremely sharp. They are a bit on the pricey side, but well worth it IMHO, you'll definitely want to take care of them, don't go leaving them out in the wx and be sure and clean them after each use.

Best hand shears
I bought these after a friend recommended them. I usually can only shear couple sheep before I feel my shears dulling...these never dulled...I sheared my whole flock and they are still as sharp as they were for the first sheep. They were also so much more comfortable for my hand. I will never shear with anything else (I liked them better than machine shearing). I recommend them to everyone who has sheep, or camelid and like to shear by hand.

These shears are my favorite.
These shears are the best for grass shearing. My hands are arthritic, so I needed something that I didn't have to struggle with. These make the jobs smooth and fast. Not having shrub shearing experience, I didn't have luck with that job. I can keep the vinca trimmed, and the lawns neatly edged. I am most pleased!

Wish I knew about these 20 years ago!
These shears simply work as shears should. Shearing next to the skin or trimming off problem areas at the ends of the fleece are no issue. The blades do not flex apart when cutting through mats. Just sheared our flock of 23 over two days in about 3 or 4 hours each day. They are the tool for the job.
