As noted above software comes on a 3" disc. Convenient I guess if you have an external clamshell DVD data drive of the kind that no one has seen in 20 years. Useless for a Macbook. Thanks to user Grimlockf for posting a link to Carson site, but that software isn't supported on OS 10.9. My favorite thing about this microscope? The enclosed note: "If you have any concerns, please don't hesitate to contact us for solution and we will do our best to help you out ... please send me an email, we promise to reply you within 24 hours" and NO EMAIL ADDRESS ANYWHERE !!! Definitely a company that strives to "do our best to serve you" as their note says. Am I satisfied with this purchase? Not particularly. I like to imagine that it is a charming delightful bargain-priced gadget, but I have no way to know.

Failed to indicate that software provided with product was not full size Dvd. I had to go online and download software for my I Mac. Product works great for what I need it for.
