Basic Tattooing Techniques

I enjoy reading about all kinds of jobs that people do. I have always been impressed at the skill it takes to be a tattoo artist.

I bought this book with hopes of learning “basic tattoo techniques”. It was underwhelming to say the least. I took my time, studied the oversized photos, and was finished with it in 30 minutes flat. The author covers one tattoo and barely scratches any technique aside from “stretch the skin”. I’m not trying to be hateful but I felt pretty ripped off. Check out “Tattoo Basics” instead if you’re looking for some insightful reading. Good luck!

This book is not what it is advertised to be. Telling the reader to outline, color and shade the tattoo is NOT the same as going over 'techniques'. The book resembles a coloring book, with grammatical errors, apparently intended to advertise product names. Nothing more than a picture book following the progress of a single tattoo. Was expecting "concise explanations" as advertised on other sites. Did not deliver.

Very basic book doesn't really give any insight into tattooing. Not very helpful

great book, very interesting, and informative, very easy to follow, and has given me, a great insight into the techniques that I require, thank you
