Does the work and is quite
I had passive heat sink, however they just didn't cut it for a demanding application (video + AI)I was reluctant to get a fan - because fans get noisy and it is annoying. But I got this one because the PI was getting too hot.The fan, so far, is amazingly quite and temperature is below 60C which is good. The PI5 has a special connector for the fan which this unit uses.It has pads for all the chips on the board - and it is secured by nylon screws - which ensure firm connection and will not damage the board. Doesn't block access to the camera connectors.Assembly is a bit tricky as you need to select pads by thickness and the difference between 1.5 mm and 2mm is small - but if you place them side by side you can see it - no need to use a caliper.Cons:Instead of using different thickness pads (up to 3mm) they should have machined the heat sink accordingly (some do) and use minimum thickness pads for better heat transfer.

RoCking Pi-Sink แฆ(ใ)แค (fiddly thermal pads may test your patience)
Very nicely made heatsink. The method of requiring different sized thermal pads (you get a extra set! by the way:) to compensate for the various chip heights is just the way it is. IMPORTANT: Make sure that the heatsink will press against the chips properly. In my case it seems like the heatsink stand offs (posts) may be too tall. I may have to add compound to bridge any gaps. Not perfect but it is what it is). Otherwise a vendor would have to machine the heat sink with different contact heights. Making it more costly I would imagine. A nice touch would have have been to mark (print) which pads are which. You will be looking for your calipers I'm betting. If you have more than 3 or more sets to mount... well, good luck with that. Anyway, nice purchase and I appreciate that we can purchase solutions like this at some amazing prices in 2026. p.s. I'm not a professional product reviewer but I do play one on TV ยฏ\_(ใ)_/ยฏ

Buy it.
Works great. One of the plastic screws broke but the package contained doubles of the thermal pads and screws. I guess incase of user error. It is very quiet and sometimes check to see if its spinning but it alwas is and pushes quite a bit of air. Would recommend

Worthy Upgrade
Fit perfectly on my Pi5. Helped lower temps even under full load. Itโs also much quieter compared to the stock fan. Great deal for the price. Metal doesnโt feel cheap and the fan is balanced.

Works well!
Assembled and connected in a couple of minutes. Keeps the processor cool as expected.

Competent cooler.
Comes with twice the needed thermal pads and (nylon) screws, along with a cheap screwdriver. There is a simple guide to what thermal pads go where that you should follow when installing because there are 3 different thicknesses of thermal pads. Installed a fresh copy of raspberry pi os lite and the fan started spinning, so it seemed to work with no noticeable noise in my environment. Currently seems to be idling at ~50 C.

Great price and fast delivery.
Works great on the Pi5.

Fan DOA, Update
The replacement fan works as expected. The fan on my unit is very quiet (quieter than the RPi Active Cooler, IMO). Running stress tests now, and fully loaded, the cpu temp is holding at 57-60 C. I also have the AI Hat+ installed w/slightly longer standoffs (no physical interference with the cooler), and a taller gpio header. I'm monitoring fan speed w/"watch cat /sys/devices/platform/cooling_fan/hwmon/*/fan1_input" and with the 100% cpu load, the fan speed fluctuates between about 2500 and 4500 rpm. Mostly at 2500 w/short bursts at 4500. Almost inaudible, even at 4500 rpm. So all seems good for now. I'll keep an ear out for fan/bearing noise over time. Held back one star for the hassle of dealing with a DOA.Fan dead right out of the box. Didn't spin at startup init; didn't spin with high temp. I have 8 other RPi5's with a variety of fans, all of which work. Disappointing. Returning for replacement. We'll see how the next one does.

Good Value!
A solid, thick heatsink with a Pi-controlled fan. Its very low profile allows you to put a Pi-hat and still have reasonable clearance. Good value, excellent cooling. So far it has kept the cpu from throttling down...

One of the best
I'm trying hard but I can't get my Pi 5 past 66 celsius.

Best cooling system available for Raspberry Pi 5
Bought 2 heatsink + fan combos for my raspberry pi 5, the heatsink quality and fan size + speed was much more pleasing than any others on offer.

Fantastic cooler
Works great to keep my pi 5, which is in a warm electronics bay of my 3d printer, cool and running well. Very quiet, and I confirmed my pi to only run it when needed.
