I only used this slicer about 8 - 10 times and it fell apart! The weld broke and it cut my hand in two places. I was using it exactly as I should - slicing an apple and the weld completely broke. I was very lucky it did not go deeper and require stitches. I have emailed the company 3 times to at least get my money back or a replacement - there is a 5 year warranty and there has been no response. Dangerous tool - beware!

I have missed my old oxo Apple sliced but after time the plastic handles cracked. This is much sturdier and easily cleans up in dishwasher. I am only concerned about the sharpness of the blades. I don’t know if it’s my imagination or tough Apple skins only using it one time but I like the 12 segment sliver. Makes it so easy to grab, rinse skin & slice an apple for immediate consumption! Recommend anyway!!

This is ONLY for SMALL apples. It does large apples BUT the center hole is SMALL so it leaves some of the seeds and tough core in the slices themselves. This creates extra work because you then have to individually cut seeds out of many of the slices.I'm returning it. The one we had before had a bigger hole and worked fine.

Love it. Very sturdy. Core stays attached but that might be because of my strength level when pressing down.

This is the only corer I will ever own! I had no idea there were high quality, heavy duty cutters out there. I kept buying the discount store models and replacing often when the blades fell out etc. This corer will outlast me! Very well-made item!

Placed an order on 10/28, and as of 12/29 this apple corer is officially broken. You can see images from other customers, the corer piece separated entirely from the handles. We owned a cheap plastic corer for 5+ years with no issues, this one didn't even last through one apple season. It only gets a 2 rating, because it was nice while it was in one piece.Highly, highly, highly... do NOT recommend this.

At first I thought this was a little overpriced but after receiving it I can see why... this thing must be for commercial use because it is crazy heavy duty.. don't think I will ever have to buy another one!

I paid extra for an all metal supposedly sturdy slicer. After using infrequently for just over a year, the welds broke and the blade came loose causing some injury to hand.Unhappy about the quality.No wonder the price dropped from the time of my purchase.
