It is absolutely wonderful to discover that M18 batteries can be repaired by even the most average individual doing Electronics. Everybody should learn to solder and desolder anyway. It is much less expensive to assemble these types of batteries from kits. PC boards do sometimes need to be replaced. Saves tons of money over buying new batteries when only a small internal component is needed instead.

The boards I received were physically different than the pic, the solder holes were huge compared to the size of the bracket pins. One hole was about 3-5mm off and I had to bend the pin to get it in the hole. The POS & NEG tabs were totally different than the pic, and the NEG tab was not long enough to reach the connection point, I had to solder an extension to it. The battery was balanced and charged when assembled, the battery ran the tool for about 1/3 the time it should and died. the onboard status lights reported one light flashing (dead). I put it on the charger, the charger status light went green (charged) and obviously would not attempt to charge the battery. I used both boards, got the same result. Clearly the boards I received are NOT for the Milwaukee M18 Red Lithium High Output XC6.0 batteries (10 21700-30T cells) as described in the listing. I gave 2 stars because I assume the boards would work fine in the battery they are intended for, but I returned them.

Tried using but didn’t work so I just replaced the battery
