Squeeze Lock Knife, Blunt - Yellow

I had another knife that I liked but lost because out the single easy hit button. This one is much more secure. After one dive i had no issues. I feel much better about this knife staying where it belongs.has

The knife I received is not like the one pictured. The blade and some of the designs on the sheath are identical, but the sheath and the blade both say "Aqua Lung", not "Wenoka". I haven't tried to attach it to my PFD yet, nor have I used the knife to cut. I like the way the knife locks in and detached from the sheath, however. I am going to take one star off because I don't like receiving something different that what I ordered, even if it's darn near identical. It does look like a good product, however.

I received this knife and upon opening it I checked the locking mechanism, which worked fine. I went to use it to cut some para-cord and was surprised how much effort it took to cut. I then felt the blade and noticed it was not very sharp. being a DIY kind of guy, I figured I would sharpen it. Much to my surprise the metal doesn't take an edge well and seem to get a rough edge no matter what I use. It doesn't have a standard bevel so it requires custom sharpening it, but even a diamond hone leaves lots of metal hanging off the edge making for a dull knife. Forget the line cutter, or serrated side. Yes, you won't lose this knife easily, but you might wish you did, so you could buy a better one.

I purchased this knife as a back-up knife for sailing (racing, specifically). I've affixed it to my Type V PFD (CO2 inflatable life vest) along the bottom webbing. The location, pared with the easy squeeze release, makes it easy to access with one hand for any immediate need (such as the need to immediately cut a snagged overboard line or safety tether - both of which I've had to do since buying this knife).The locking, quick grab, mechanism is amazingly secure and easy to use. I've never had the knife dislodge from its holder without my intent. The ability to immediately free the blade with one hand is far simpler than a traditional switch blade; and the fact that the sheath is fixed to my PFD harness means it is always in the same place for the moment of need. For the price point, I would be hard-pressed to find a better option.

Very happy with the Wenoka Aqua Lung dive knife. The description show brand Wenoka but the picture clearly shows Aqua Lung. Regardless of the name I am very happy with this knife and it does mount in the grommeted holes on my Aqua Lung BCD and my TUSA BCD. Does need sharpening before use in which I expected. Already using an old Aqua Lung BCD knife that is marked as Wenoka and Aqua Lung. If and when I need a third BCD knife or one to mount on a hose I will purchase again. Has hardware to mount on a BCD, silicone straps for mounting on a hose, and slots for harness or belt use.

I use this kind of knife for years and like it (mostly needed for occasionally cutting a line): small, dependable lock, reasonable grip for such a small knife

I've lost one knife (of another brand) by just moving my BC while on a boat and my wife has lost one (of yet another brand) getting out of the water - the knives simply fell out of their respective "locking" sheaths. The Wenoka Squeeze Lock Knife can't be lost. I've tried (out of the water of course) to make this knife fall out, slip out or be knocked out of its sheath and it stays put. I even unlocked one side by tilting the knife in the sheath and it still stays put. I can't even pull it out by force. The only way it will come out is by squeezing both of the locking tabs. So, unless you drop it into the depths while using it, this knife will stay with you in and out of the water.

Well worth the purchase. Great savings over the same knife by aqualung. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a divers tool for their bc
