For handy people: materials are very good, non rusting, fasteners should not stain cedar, mostly square, but a little off. I put this together on my kitchen table using a #1 and #2 Phillips screwdriver and a #2 Phillips screw gun. Wood is slightly warped causing leak opportunities. Some clear caulk should solve this. As others have mentioned, the screen is about 1/4 inch too long and needs trimming. Additional screws on rear and sides would make birdhouse more sturdy after a few years when some of the attachments start to fail. For casual user. Screwdriver provided is inadequate. Just put it together any way you can. It will be functional and look beautiful. The bad join between. Borrow a good one . The roof and back will likely seal with pollen and dirt and not leak. Trimming the mesh floor is best done with a metal shears, but u could probably use a Fiskars scissors

Good quality, easy to assemble

Easy to put together. My husband and 10 year old son had no problems. The bird houses are holding up great. We love the locking mechanism. Easy to open and close.

Great quality. It is not too heavy, but built well. Looks like it is very durable and will hold up for a long time. It’s very cute and a great value for the money. I purchased these for wrens, but the openings were a bit too big and sparrows invaded the house instead. Would highly recommend. I think it will last for years.

I ordered the two-pack of bluebird houses, and the first one assembled quickly and easily -- no issues at all! But the second was another story. The pre-drilled holes were a little off-kilter, so the house came together very lopsidedly. I even took it apart and reassembled it, hoping I could adjust the screws to straighten things out, but the wood quickly splintered whenever I tried to straighten the angles. The end result is a disappointing, shoddy-looking birdhouse! So, full marks for one, a big raspberry for the second. I'll give them three stars as an average of the two.

Easy to build and the birds love it! Great material the wood is pretty drilled you just put it together. Great dad and kid gift to let them build. The size is a bit bigger than a shoe box. Material is great. Not sure if it's weather resistant but in VT it's held up in snow rain and the material is still holding.

Updated: I'm updating my review now that I've gotten the replacement package. When I received the replacement package, it was exactly as described--two bird houses that are super cute and well constructed! I love them! What I think happened originally is I received a "used" package that had been returned by someone who put one house together to return for refund but kept the other, so all I received was one house already assembled. When the replacement package arrived, it had the two houses unassembled. I've adjusted my star rating since the product IS what is described in the description and simply lovely. It was just a bizarre twist that I got a "used" item in the original purchase. Original: The bird house I received is super cute, and I'm looking forward to hanging it for the birds to enjoy. Hopefully it'll be a great choice for a bird family. My only complaint is that this is listed in both the title and the items included as being a 2 pack, but I only received one bird house. I tried to reach out to the seller but couldn't get out of the ridiculous AI automated customer service loop, which never could understand my explanation of the problem--that I was missing 1 item in a 2 item product. All AI could sort out is that I did not receive my product, which I did, just half of it. So good old AI resent me the product. So, in a weird way, I'll have finally gotten the 2, but it's all just a bit peculiar! It should have been easy to contact the seller and get the 2nd house sent so I could have the two styles. Oh well. At least the houses look like they're in good condition! Yea!
