Great coffee, smooth with subtle coconut flavor

いつもは、KALDIのイタリアンローストを飲んでいました。 自粛中の楽しみが何かないかと考え、前から気になっていたライオンコーヒーを買うことに。 そもそも、わたしが前から気になっていたのに買わなかったり理由は… コーヒーにフレーバーをつけると、コーヒー本来の香りがなくなってしまうんじゃないか？ ということでした。 しかし、ライオンコーヒーを実際に飲んでみると、フレーバーがすごくコーヒーに合う！ フレーバーがついてるからといって、薄いコーヒーの香り付けのような印象はなく、 むしろ、カルディのイタリアンローストより、コーヒーの苦味と香りがしっかり出ています。 わたしは、一度のハンドドリップ（小さいコーヒカップ２杯分）で、粉をティースプーン3杯入れています。 最初に4〜5杯入れたときは、かなり濃すぎました。 コーヒーが苦手な方は、粉の量を減らすか、ミルクや砂糖を入れるとまろやかになっていいかも知れませんね。 わたしは、ブラックで入れて、チョコやクッキーと一緒に食べるのがおすすめです。 コーヒーは、割と飲む方でしたが、ライオンコーヒーは朝目覚めると飲みたくなるくらい好きなコーヒーになりました。

50%増量なので香り・品質が心配でしたが、問題なく飲ませてもらいました。

Very nice and no bitterness

I am a flavored coffee lover. I am a bit finicky though and like the flavor to be noticeable without tasting artificial or chemical-y (if that's a word). I was a big fan of Green Mountain's seasonal coconut flavor, but when I moved to FL I could no longer find it. Dunkin Donuts' coconut, to me, is just okay but it's more a fragrance than a flavor. I had never tried Lion, but went out on a limb and was not disappointed. The coffee quality itself is fine - not too heavy to interfere with the coconut. I'm thinking it's probably a lighter roast, but doesn't give me an all day panic attack like some brands do. The flavor though is just totally on-point. When you prep it the night before, the scent lingers in the kitchen in a pleasantly teasing way. When you wake up to it, you can't wait to just settle into a cup and wake up. When you reach the bottom of your to-go mug at work, you're actually sad. It's just that good. My only qualm? I go through it so fast and usually have not re-ordered in time to have my next bag. It does take a little while to ship from HI!
