Really good value and excellent performance
Its not state of the art high performance sound interface. But you could but 100 of these for what one of those costs. And its performance is pretty close. No XLR or 48V for powered microphones. However sample rates to 192/24 and distortion in the -90dB or better range. I'm using it for measuring speakers and microphones and its not a limitation with the best transducers. In practical terms its performance is essentially "perfect" for audio needs. However to get the higher sample rates on Windows you need to go to "Settings">System"> "sound">"more sound settings" and open the individual device and select "advanced" to access the controls. The direct from the taskbar doesnt work. i think its a Microsoft issue since its Microsoft's native driver. There are complaints about units failing. If mine does I'll report back.

It does not work
It's a very nice looking device, but it does not work. The computer detects it as a USB device and lets you connect it to a software recording program, but no audio comes through. I verified that I had good sound going into the device. I tried two different cables from a verified audio source into the line-in jack of the device (I bought one of the cables brand new when I could not get an audio signal through the device). I also tried two different USB cables, and two different software programs on two different computer systems. The device simply does not pass any audio, which is, you know, the only thing it's supposed to do. Seeing that others found the device to not work out of the box or stop working after a few days, I think it's pretty clear that it's a low quality product.

Super easy to make work
So good I bought a second one. Easy to connect. Windows 11 saw it right away. Attached my mixer to it and everything sounds very clean. Expanded the capabilities of my mini-pc.

Cubilux CB5. Works better than expected. I like it.
11 Feb 2025 This is a review for the Cubilux Model CB5: USB to 3.5mm Sound Card with Stereo Microphone Input Didn't expect much. Like others, I am favorably impressed. There's even a support web site for the brand name. It's cubilux dot com. Plugged it into Windows 10. It was plug and play. Sounds good. My old computers have a lot of static in the built-in microphone circuitry. I have heard the same static in YouTube videos when people post tutorials. Some old computers with Realtek chips have that static problem in the microphone circuitry. I bought this Cubilux Model CB5 adapter to try to eliminate that static and to eliminate microphone voice echo in the finished output. This Cubilux adapter has no static in the microphone circuit. And...most of all...it works well with OBS (Open Broadcast Studio). Echo in the output was a problem but this Cubilux has elimiated that problem. I stilll hear microphone voice echo in my ears from my headphones as I monitor the output but the echo is eliminated from the OBS finished output so it's practically useful even though not perfect...but that's certainly not a Cubilux problem....that's an inherent problem in OBS software. There's a $20 software add-on that claims to give better control over audio mixing and audio output but I haven't taken the leap because I use several computers in my house and I don't want to drag my aging carcass around the house to situate myself at one particular computer for an OBS task and I don't want to have to add $20 to each computer configuration. So, Cubilux has given me the practical perfomance that meets my needs when using OBS. Thanks. And...thanks to Amazon. I've not seen Cubilux any where else for a decent price and certainly the full product lineup doesn't seem to be anywhere else. Uh-oh. I just looked at the Cubilux web site. They have added some very interesting mixers at a very attractive price. I might get one and try running line out from the Cubilux CB5 into a Cubilux mixer along with my microphone connected to the Cubilux mixer then run the mixer output into the line-in of the Cubilux CB5 and capture that into OBS to see if that gives me the mix of voice mixed with that which OBS calls "desktop audio" so I can mix properly and hear no echo. In this way, maybe, I can be voice performer and studio producer at the same time with no echo in my ears while creating content. We shall see.

Full 192Khz display for G90
This works great hooking HDSRD to G90 for full 192KHZ waterfall.

This sound card is pretty awesome for the price and size
I found this on accident and decided to try it out because it seemed perfect for my use cases. I’ve had this sound card for about two weeks. So to start It Exceeds expectations by actually working with a phone even though says it does not. I got both my iPhone 13 Pro and an Samsung phone to recognize it for my music producing apps over an otg dongle. Not only am I saving in size with this I save a little bit of money by not having to use a larger audio interface for inputs which is usually our only option. Im about to order their even smaller one from them to test and see if can do what this one does. It could be one of the best solutions for audio input for phones in my use cases. On the windows PC/steam deck everything worked perfectly as promised. I tested it out and OBS with all the inputs and both the outputs can be used all at the same time. I don’t think you can find another sound card solution that has this many stereo inputs plus the two stereo outputs at this size and excellent build quality. Oh and it’s plug and play with no sketchy driver download situation.
