Love our Love To Dream!
Switched to this sleep sack when we transitioned our baby out of a regular swaddle because she learned to roll over. It’s perfect for transitioning because it’s snug around the chest and loose at the bottom. She was able to roll around safely but it still helped to suppress her startle reflex and help her sleep through the night! It’s stretchy so she was able to wear it for months. Zips from top or bottom so those middle of the night changes were a breeze. Easy to use and just the right temperature for her to stay warm all night without being too hot.

Great weaning swaddle
First a little background: I have swaddled all 3 of my babies since birth and swaddling really helps them sleep well through the night. The truwomb and woombie swaddles were the only ones my sons couldn't break out of and always worked great until my sons were able to roll over. My first two ended up being tummy sleepers so they slept well after being weaned from swaddle. However with my third son hates to be on his tummy so he has to sleep on his back but the problem is at 5 months he still had such a strong startle reflex and was outgrowing the largest size woombie you can buy. I started looking for a bigger swaddle. I was a little worried about him rolling over in the swaddle but it seemed swaddling was the only way baby could sleep through the night. I tried a zippity zip but it wasn't tight enough to prevent startle. I stumbled upon this Swaddle Up brand and it is perfectly in between a woombie and zippity zip. He can't stretch out his arms much which prevents startling and since his arms are out by his ears he isn't likely to roll over in it. I think it is a more comfortable position for his arms anyway. Now that he is 7 months old I am finally weaning him from it. For 4 nights I left just one arm out of the swaddle and kept the other arm in. Now he has both arms out and legs are still in. So far he has been sleeping all night! The arm pieces can be unzipped and completely taken off so they aren't in the way. There is still plenty of leg room so I plan on continuing to use this like a sleep sack. Best purchase and has helped me and baby get the most sleep possible!

Sigh of relief!
I am really happy we got this swaddle. My 4 month old daughter has been sleeping in a Halo SleepSack since she was born, but now that she is older and rolling over we needed something that would give her arms more freedom. After a ton of research, I decided to give this swaddle a try. She loves to sleep with her arms up, but I had always pinned them down to swaddle her, so when I saw that this allowed her arms to stay up but also restricted some movement, I thought it would work really well. It did! The bottom part of the swaddle is relaxed enough to let her hips splay out in a natural position, the arms are a little more restricted. She has enough freedom to suck on her hands or touch her face to soothe herself but not enough she doesn't feel secure. Also this version has zip off wings so that she her arms totally free when she is ready and I don't have to buy a completely different sleep sack. The material is lightweight which is good because my little girl is a furnace but must sleep in cool temperatures. The only thing I would suggest is buying more than one because if your baby is anything like mine she will suck on her hands and the fabric won't dry and time for her next nap. I have just been throwing it in the dryer but I have ordered a second one. It should be noted that these run on the small side...my baby is 14 pounds and "should" be in a medium; however after reading reviews, I ordered the large, which turned out to be perfect.

Should really change product name to Flying Squirrel Swaddle
First things first, BUY THIS SWADDLE right now!! I never leave reviews, even if I really hate something. But this has been a life changer. I put off buying this (not knowing it’s powers) but it recently got too hot for my son to keep using his thick swaddle so I finally bought it. I wish I had this when he was born! So i’m sharing my thoughts in hopes that it will help other parents get some sleep. My son went from waking up every 2-4 hrs to sleeping 7-9 hours straight, every night! EVERY night. My problem with my other swaddles: His arms were pinned down to his sides and whenever he woke up he’d be upset trying to wiggle out of it, which would also move the fabric up and cover his face. Most of them couldn’t stay tight enough and I’d have to loudly unvelcro to redo it. Most he’d outgrow super fast - waste of money! Most were too thick making him too warm. Basically there were problems with all of them and I never loved any of them. But baby and I LOVE the Love to Dream swaddle. Love to Dream Swaddle solutions: 1. Let’s his arms be up comfortably and naturally. He can move his arms enough to get his hands in his mouth which help him fall back asleep on his own if he wakes up and - what I worried about most - it still helps control startle reflex. 2. The zipper goes right up to their neck, making it impossible to cover their face! The zipper also goes both ways so you don’t have to clip it together: zips up after putting baby in it and zips up again to change diaper. 3. It’s lightweight T-shirt material (super comfy) so he can wear it by itself and when it’s cold you can put pajamas underneath it. 4. It’ll last much longer. If you size up, the swaddle is longer but still fits everywhere else so he won’t grow out of it too fast. The arms unzip for when he’s transitioning or is done being swaddled. 5. Totally calms him down. He can be crying and then the moment I put his arms in the little pockets he calms down. It’s so much different than a tight constricting swaddle yet it seems to comfort him in the same way. This swaddle is the best, all around. BUY IT!!

Great swaddle that lets baby sleep with arms up.
Pros: zips instead of Velcro Alternative position for arms over traditional swaddle Breathable material Dual zipper should make night changing easier Cons: arm movement is more restricted than I would like Bottom line, this a great swaddle for babies who like to sleep with their arms up. Since it has a zipper you don't have to worry about baby breaking out of it. I would definitely recommend. Below is a comparison with other swaddles I have tried. I am the queen of swaddles. My baby stayed comfortable in his traditional swaddle for all of two weeks. I've tried the Miracle Blanket, Ergo baby Hands to Heart, this product, and Zipadeezip. The miracle blanket was great at first. After a couple weeks he was going nuts, like I was putting him in a straitjacket. I stopped swaddling him because he wasn't happy. However, that was causing sleep issues because he kept jolting awake. After doing some research I learned there were different swaddles to put arms in different positions. Next, I tried the Ergobaby Hands to Heart because he liked to sleep with his arms across his chest or up in the air. This was more natural for him. The problem with this product is the Velcro. It's easy for him to break out of. Also, he's a tall, big baby, so it's difficult to keep the bottom portion Velcro'd. Next, I tried the current product I'm reviewing, Love to Swaddle Up. This is more of a transition product. This provides more range of motion over the previous swaddles mentioned. It's a nice, light material that allows baby to sleep with arms up. It also allows you to unzip the arm part when you are ready to transition baby out of swaddle. Another reason that is useful is because it will be more like a wearable blanket that allows the baby to turn over. Once the baby is able to roll over you can't leave then in a swaddle that restricts their arm movement. The current swaddle I use is Zipadeezip. I love this swaddle the most. It is designed to give baby the freedom of motion they need (full arm and leg movement) but the design prevents them from waking from startle reflex. It's wearable blanket you can out clothes under when is cold, or only have diaper when is warmer. My baby is a great sleeper. When he wears this he sleeps 12 hours uninterrupted. Without the swaddle he wakes every couple of hours.

I would have love to use this sooner
For my second child swaddling never ever worked. He would get frustrated and didn't sleep well at all. I was looking at different swaddles and came across this one. It allows him some motion still while providing a snug (not tight) feeling on his body. After the first night in this he slept like a little baby rock and we never went back. It was also easy to change his diaper as this providea plenty of access and has so much stretch that it isnt pinching or digging on him during a change. He transitioned out of it when he started to stand but otherwise we would have kept using it. I also nursed him while he wore it and had no issue with his positioning at all.

GET THIS IF YOU ARE TRANSITIONING BABY OUT OF ROCK N PLAY
Attention parents with Rock 'n' Play Sleeper addicted babies: this has been awesome in transitioning our baby to his crib!! Our son has been sleeping in his Rock 'n' Play sleeper for six months now and every time we would attempt to put him in his crib, he would fuss and I would just end up putting him back in the sleeper just so I could get some rest. He slept like a dream in the sleeper - from 8pm to 630am without any issues. I am so happy I stumbled upon this. The first night I put my baby in this, he slept all through the night in his crib without a peep. I couldn't believe how well it worked. I am sure it mimics the snug feeling that he would get in the Rock 'n' Play and he seems very happy in it. I am amazed at how seamless the transition has been. The only negative with this is that the care instructions state that you can't put it in the dryer. Therefore, if my baby has a leaky diaper one night, I can't really have it cleaned and dried to be used for the next night. I felt the need to purchase a second one because of this.

Perfect for babies who need their arms up, great for big babies!
I love this swaddle (I call it my daughter's "sleeping bag") for so many reasons. One, it fits great for my big baby (I ordered size large because she is in the 99th percentile for everything, and this actually fits). Two, it allows her to keep her arms up by her while she sleeps and keeps her from knocking out her soother with her hands. I love that all I have to do is unzip the arm covers when the time comes that my daughter needs to be arms free. It's not a very heavy material which is actually better, because in the winter I can put fleece jammies on her and in the summer I can put light cotton jammies on her and it will still be warm enough for sleeping. Highly recommend this product! Great quality!

The best sleeping product for babies
Our son slept in his own cot from 3 months, and this swaddle proved critical to us both getting a great nights sleep. Soft and stretchy with a unique arms up position which our son loved, we have just started to leave one arm unzipped (brilliant idea) to get him used to sleeping unswaddled - so far so good! Just wish they did a warmer/thicker one for winter sleeping

Exactly what I was looking for !
This sleep sac is perfect when transitioning from the sleep pod style sac. My twins were used to sleeping in the pod style sleep sac which kept them snug and secure. This transition sac replicated the snug feeling but allows both arms in and out. My baby girl sleep still with arm in and my little guy is now sleeping arms out, The quality is great, I am super impressed with the stretch of the material. The fabric is really soft, smooth and the zipper is a perfect length to get babes in and out. I would 100% recommend this sleep sac to anyone that is not ready to move to a sleep bag style just yet.

Great for transitioning from swaddling without a fuss
Delighted with this, my baby boy loved being swaddled arms in but couldn’t sleep unswaddled. He adjusted to this very quickly and it was then an easy transition unzipping one wing at a time. Still using it as a sleeping bag during the day as nice and light and really soft fabric. Easy to wash and clean too.
