FALCAM F38 (QR System Clip and Plate V2) works nicely as a quick release (extension) on my tripod's head. On the plus side: 1) Nicely manufactured and well-finished product 2) It allows one to quickly swap cameras between his F38 backpack quick release mount and a tripod 2) Small and light, appropriate for smaller/mid-sized mirror-less cameras 3) It has a big locking button, what works well if one uses gloves On the negative side: 1) The plate doesn't provide enough grip and a camera with a larger lens may rotate on it 2) One has to use a coin or screwdriver to (un)mount the plate to a/from camera

I don’t usually give five starts but this lanai product deserves it, I love these so much great for my camera gear.

It’s well built with the exception that, it keeps getting loose on my Canon camera. It should have a rubber like pad to avoid turning so it doesn’t loosen up. You can only tighten it up so much as to not ruining the thread. Also, it would be nice to have in the same screw, a ring or other option to tighten without using the tool provided which is an allen wrench; which you might lose because you have to bring it with you. My tripods have that ring. They provide two washers that do nothing to solve the problem. I like the practicality, the ease of use and the material, it’s strong.

The Amazon review summary suggested that this was compatible with Peak Design products. Perhaps with some of the products this could be true, but I’m glad I purchased the kit with the FALCAM clip to go with the base. Unless Peak Design has come up with a new style of clip over the last couple years, the ones I purchased when their tripod was first available would not fit within the FALCAM base. The two items in this kit did provide the solution I needed and this company has a good history of product durability.
