I bought three of these to hold art materials. The deep sides make them ideal for this as everything stays put while being easily accessible when I'm working. They are the right size for storage in a cupboard but not too big, so it's easy to lift them out when needed.The plastic appears to be strong and is nice and smooth so should be easy to clean.
