I lost some weight in my face and also perspire during the summer, so my glasses will absolutely slide off without this device to hold them on. Since the cable is semi-rigid, it does stick out beyond the back of my head so you might prefer more of a "librarian" style but these are waterproof, washable (the part that meets your glasses will get gunky from your hair products, etc.) and waterproof. I am a repeat customer because they work for me.

If you have sunglasses that mean a lot to you, use this produce. Looks great and fits perfectly.
I have used many sunglass cords in the past, mostly gators, but these cords are the best. Lightweight, easy to use and they never, never slip. As a boater and frequent user in Georgia (I use my sunglasses everyday), these work perfectly. The look is also a bit striking as the cord runs straight back from the temples. Unlike the loose straps such as a gator, these are rigid, but offer wonderful comfort because nothing is resting on your back side. I have not kinked the cablz yet, but can see it may be possible. In all candor, these make the wearer appear like a offshore fisherman that really knows what he/she is wearing. Pretty cool overall. I plan on buying more for me and as gifts.

Work Perfectly
I got tired of forgetting where I put my prescription eyeglasses since I only need them for distance. This strap is on the short side (at least for somebody with a 17" neck) which I prefer as my glasses don't hang down far nor swing around much like they did with longer straps. Contrary to many reviews, I do not find the strap to be overly stiff. It does not bother me at all on a seatback or headrest, and definitely does not push my light and thin titanium glasses off my face. And yes, the ugly yellow Cablz logo is on the strap end but if you turn them to the inside nobody will see them and, as a bonus, the strap lays much closer to your neck when wearing your glasses.

Pretty good.
It's funny. I used standard cloth or neoprene holders for years and never once felt them on my neck or thought that was a problem. But when my last ones wore out, I saw these and decided to give them a try. In summer they are fine. But there are actually times when I would prefer that they lie on my neck! Like in winter, when I'm walking in snow while wearing a coat & scarf and sometimes have to put the hood up on my coat, in which case my coat collar and hood keep pushing on the holder so that my sunglasses are getting pushed off my face, which is kind of annoying. Maybe I should have gotten shorter ones that would stay closer to my head; at the moment I can't remember what the sizes were. At any rate, they seem like they might hold up somewhat better than the standard kind, so I imagine I'll have them for awhile. I'll probably get another kind for use in winter, the kind that lie on my neck and stay out of the way.

It will stick out like a sore thumb behind your back
The wire in the back is stiff. It will stick out like a sore thumb behind your back. I have an Oakley half jacket sunglass. It can barely fit it, barely.

Good deal, Good Quality
Had a cable retainer from Costa for a long time but it finally gave out on me. I found this Cablz retainer and it's great. I've used neoprene/cloth retainers in the past but cable is the way to go. The rubber grips on the ends will fit most sunglasses frames!
