Disappointed
Bought this for great barrier Reef, trying to do our bit for environment. This cream burnt me, applied in good time, half an hour in sun and could feel my skin burning, would not recommend....

Leaves an imprint
I mean, it’s obviously better for natural waters. But I applied it before a sound bath and wild swim session. When I got up from the yoga Mat there was a full body white imprint still laying there… Good for your conscience bad for your credibility! Haha

Effective in water
Great sunscreen protection, especially in the water. Very white on the skin.

Sunscreen
Awful texture very hard to rub in and left a bad white cast even on my very pale skin

Ghostly white and does not rub in. It gets all over your clothes and does not wash off of them in water; not to mention it also smells bad. For thirty five dollars I expected a lot more. I’m trying to be eco friendly, but this product needs to come a long ways before I would consider using it again. There are much better alternatives out there.

In tegenstelling tot verwachtingen geeft deze crème wel degelijk een wit uitgeslagen huid. En het stinkt ook nog eens heel erg. Absoluut geen aanrader.

Approved by EWG environmental working group. if you're not familiar with this group please check them out! This product is Nurse Approved! EWG are Powerhouse in alerting the government and consumers of dangerous chemicals. The European Union has banned many chemicals that are still used in the United States that are dangerous for human consumption. They also have an app where you could look up any product and it tells you on a scale the chemical exposures you may experience. Who wants to expose themselves and their family more dangerous chemicals? Remember the zinc sunscreen in the 80s and the life guards with the white noses? This sunscreen goes on thick and because of the zinc content does not rub in very easily and stays very white on the skin. I just use a few drops of water to rub it into the skin a little better so I'm not Ghostly white. I've used it four times this summer so far with hours of sun exposure paddleboarding and have not experienced any sun burns. Tanning nicely. It's expensive for the size and the amount of suntan lotion that you get. Knowing that I'm not exposing myself to additional harmful chemicals is worth it for me!

I take ingredients very seriously. Especially for things I put on or in my body everyday. I've started getting this sunscreen auto shipped every two months, as a way to hold myself accountable with daily use regardless of my activity, and to avoid needing to buy something on impulse. I've done plenty of research and ended up here with Stream2Sea. (Past products ingredients changed and have pollutants and endocrine disruptors, no thanks) I use the Yuka app to compare and dig deeper into ingredients of cosmetics and food as a jumping off point, it's been invaluable. This sunscreen goes a LONG way. It is said you need about a shot glass worth for your entire body, unlike run-of-the-mill sunscreens that you need to lather on to get a good layer of coverage. That's why I don't mind paying more for less product that is quality & safe. For me and for the ocean. I have fair skin and can burn easily but I'm more concerned these days with sun exposure in general because skin cancer is so common and living in Florida feels much different than living in Michigan, ha! So, to sum up, start with less and blend, blend. The white cast you might end up with will fade and with regular use you can mostly avoid. For my face I use Fuka Eri. It's a Zinc oxide and titanium dioxide non nano vegan formula that's reefsafe and cruelty free. I keep it just outside on the back porch so it stays soft for easy application and the tinted version I cut with a tiny bit of coconut oil so it goes on like moisturizer and makes the product go farther avoiding unnecessary waste. 🙂 Hope this review helps. ☀️🧴

Stayed white on skin even when applied a little at a time. Becomes even more visible after getting wet. Suits the purpose as a sunscreen
