SelfsatFlat Quad LNB Satellite Antenna

I wanted a satellite dish that was easy to store away on my boat. I was a little sceptical using this in England UK but gave it a go. Boy am I pleased I did. Having aligned satellites for Sky TV for years this was without a doubt the easiest and quickest install ever. The packaging was excellent and the receiver was very easy to put together.I lined it up using an iPhone App and went inside my boat to see the reception quality using Sky HD Box settings guide. I was very surprised to see full reception and full quality on both Sky+ HD lines. I rocked the boat around loads and it moved forward, backwards and sideways, all without any problems. It receives the best quality I've ever been able to get with a standard dish.If you wan t to have an easy dish to install on a (moored) boat or caravan - this is it. Works brilliantly and very pleased! Plus when not in use it easily stores in a locker with half the space required for a standard dish.

Much better looking than a conventional Satellite dish and should not corrode like all the rusty metal dishes. Initial impressions are that the unit works well but is a little difficult to align. Once set-up it appears to provide a good signal.

Plus point, it has more signal Strength than the dish it replaced, and being plastic coat, no rust I hope.Minus point, it comes with all fittings apart from coach bolts, so you need to buy those if it's going to be secured to wood. I bought the 4 output model, but I'm only using 2 at the moment. It doesn't come with dummy connectors to screw over the unused lnb outputs, so I had to tape them up to keep the weather out.

I've been using this for a about 9 months now, and it works well giving perfect FreeSat reception to three receivers. It looks good on the front of the house (far better than the old mesh dish), and it is standing up to the Welsh weather - usually windy and wet! It was fairly easy to fit and set up, though I used an electronic satellite finder rather than the cheap and nasty compass that came with it!

I have been using this for more than 2 years to watch Italian Satellite channels (from HotBird) in London. It works very well and I'm extremely happy with it. In extreme weather (such as heavy rain), I experience loss of signal on some HD channels, but the low-def versions of those channels are always visible. Note that, due to building restrictions, I have placed the equipment on the pavement of my roof terrace on a 3-storey building (hence not an optimal position), but it still works very well as described. For info, I have used 3 LNBs to connect 2 different receivers, both HD, both working perfectly.

Installed and working like a dream, the detailed installation alignment meant that I only had to nudge it about to get the optimum signal quality which I should warn some of you readers that I am in Guernsey so quite far south by UK standards.

Okay to start with, but after 5 months the number of channels received initially is dropping rapidly, all HD channels now gone and others dropping daily. Only mainstream remaining. Will have to replace with standard dish. Waste of money.

Used down to just north of Lyon in France, very easy to use quick to setup and compact. Identical unit as used on a very expensive motorised version costing several thousand pounds so a bargain.
