Can this rope hold a mason jar?

Sorry--not sure how big a mason jar is? I haven't actually used this string in the garden yet for really strong jobs--but--I have pulled on it very hard and it hasn't broken. My other strong string was good for years but did eventually break 'cos of weathering away. However, I am talking after a few years and this string certainly looks the same as that strong string. That's the best I can say really.

Thinking of ordering this to make a macrame wall hanging so does anyone think this would be suitable

It may be good to macrame but I think the end product might be abit hairy looking as this product is pure jute. There may be something else out there that would be better like string. Or maybe google types of twine suitable to macrame with.

How do I find the end of the string to start unwinding it?

Slip off the paper sleeve and find the one piece of twine that looks a little slack, slip your sleeve back on, job done!

Has this undergone any processes at all please? I'm looking to use it for a bird so it needs to be 100% jute

It must have undergone some processes to make it into twine so I assume you mean has it been treated with any chemicals? As far as I can tell it's natural/untreated as it says on the label, but can't be 100% Perhaps you could wash it before you use for a bird to be safer.
