Right size and Reasonable Quality
I was looking for a smaller roof top box to keep dirty and wet gear out of my truck. I didn't want a tall box or something with a high tare (empty) weight. This little box seemed to fit my needs nicely.Shipping and Packaging: Shipping went smoothly. Packaging was reasonable, the item arrived in good condition. It was wrapped in cellophane inside a bag inside a large box.Build Quality: I would put the build quality of this box far above the off-brand models I saw in person. It falls somewhere between the quality of the Yakima and Thule boxes. The locking feature seems to work well but as with any roof box I feel like a determined thief would be able to get in using enough force.Installation: Installation was fairly straight forward, the instructions were simple but adequate. I spent a little over a half hour on the initial installation including measuring the box so it was perfectly centered (because I'm that guy). It was easy enough to lift on top of the truck by myself. I imagine that subsequent removals and installation will be quicker now that the cross bars are where they need to be. The roof box uses a squared u-bolt system with backing plates the only difficulty I had was connecting the u-bolts on the hinge side of the lid by myself, a second set of hands would have been helpful. The backing plates also housed the tie down points so that your tie down straps inside will be about where your roof racks are. The u-bolts fit around my Thule Aerobars. They do fit the thicker bar but there is a fair amount of room forward and behind the u-bolt a strap system would be better.Driving with the box installed: After several months of driving with the box installed I haven't noticed any difference in driving on the highway or around town. If there is any noise it is minimal. I do have all terrain tires that increase road noise a bit so your results may vary on a smaller car with a quieter cabin.I've had this mounted during several significant rain storms and my contents have stayed dry throughoutAll and all I am happy with this purchase. The size is right for me, the cost reasonable, and the initial quality is there. If you're more concerned with function than showing off that Thule or Yakima label I think you'd be happy with this item.I hope this review is helpful.

Perfect Fit
Perfect fit on a Mazda3 hatchback with OEM crossbars. Fits all our camping gear and collapsible fishing rods with no issue. Drove it over 2,000 miles this summer, including through torrential rain, with nothing getting wet and remaining tight. No discernible effect on gas mileage beyond a small dip due to added weight. Only drawback is that it only opens from one side, but that’s a quibble because this is a high quality product that is built to last.

Solid car cargo product.
We used the hole plugs and rubber strip to weather proof it. It has held up well through hours of rain and everything inside is dry. I have not noticed any difference in driving with it regarding pulling, weight on steering, or noise. I love it and was able to fit two camping chairs, two thermarests, two sleeping bags, a two man tent and a camping hammock inside of it. There is probably room for a little more items like rain gear and such. The only thing keeping me from five stars is that the lock is tricky. We discovered if you give it a little bity "slam" to shut it that the lock works every time. Without that little slam (if you just close it), the mechanism to trigger the bar thingy doesn't engage and the key can't turn to lock it.

Perfect on my 2021 Prius Prime!
I searched high and low for a small, low profile cargo box that wasn't long and skinny or tall and narrow that would also leave me enough room to mount my Yakima RaptorAero bike rack or Rhino 2 pair ski/fishing rod holder(572) next to the box using the Toyota branded roof rack for my 2021 Prius Prime. After 3 months of racking my brain I settled on this.Generally speaking the box does cause some wind noise from about 60+ mph. The interior noise from the box is not enough to cause one to not be able to have a normal conversation or hear the other party in a phone conversation even at 80+ mph. Overall fit and finish is a 9/10 only because as others have mentioned the manufacturer should have added another set of mounting holes spaced further apart as even a smaller vehicle like my Prius required them to work.Specifically applicable to the 2016-21 Prius/Prius Prime when mounted centered there is approximately 8" of the actual crossbar surface remaining on either side which allows me enough space to mount either of the 2 attachments mentioned on the drivers side if the box is mounted towards the passenger side(opens from right). A new set of holes about 1" away from the existing front holes or rear slot will need to be added for it to fit(I chose rear and took 10 seconds to drill 2 holes)For the price and what you're getting I don't think you can go wrong. Can't wait to go on my roadtrip next month!!

Great cargo box, bad lock
The cargo box was easy to mount and seems like it is a great value. The smaller size helped keep the wind noise down and the mileage up. The issue is that the lock stopped working the second time I opened the box. There is a striker plate that is out of place in the lock. The key has to hit the striker for the tumbler to rotate far enough to lock the box and remove the key. Definitely not up to the price of the box. The issue is that you can’t shut the box with it locked and you can’t take the key out of the lock when it’s unlocked. I have to set the striker plate by sticking my finger into it and turning the key half way. Then shutting the cover without letting the key move. Then I can finish turning the key. The tricky part is that you need two hands to do this while standing on the back door sill.

Just right size and mounts securely
I needed a cargo box for car camping and wanted a low profile one. (I think the huge ones look silly.) This fits perfectly on a Subaru Forester and looks great. It has enough room for my gear and has interior tie down points. Things would bounce around in a larger box. I waterproofed it with some weather stripping on the inside and so far no leaks even during downpours. And the low profile means garages aren’t a problem.
