FAKE! FAILED BLUE LIGHT TEST!
Very cute on but that’s not why I purchased them. They are not authentic blue light glasses. Refer to the pic I posted, if they are true blue light glasses the blue in both images should appear to be the same shade of blue. I took a pic of the image image alone and then the image thru the glasses. They are not even close to being in the same color range.

low price blue light glasses
Bought these to help with eye strain. After a couple hours looking at my monitor my eyes would get dry and vision would get blurry. I wanted to get some glasses to help relieve the problem and not empty my wallet. After a lot of research on amazon I settled on these because of their price and reviews. They came in a bubble wrap envelope that the mail carrier smashed into my mailbox. I was worried the glasses would be damaged but to my surprise they were perfectly fine! They come in a clear plastic protective case that stood up to shipping. My first hour with these on and these do not disappoint. My eyes feel less strained while looking at my monitor. They do have a very slight yellow tint to them, but its barely noticeable. First thing you will notice is the whites on your screen are slightly yellow, but its not distracting. That's the point of these glasses to begin with: to filter the blue light, so obviously its going to be "less blue" or "yellow"I will update my review after using these all day if they cause any issues or fail to deliver.UPDATE: After using these glasses for a couple days I have noticed my eyes don't get watery and blurry after looking at a tv or monitor for hours. I am changing my review from 4 stars to 5 because they really helped me!

THESE DO BLOCK SOME BLUE LIGHT
I'm updating this review now that I have been able to wear these for a while and get a better feel for them...First, the specifics on the packaging and first impressions. They come in a cute little clear case that can be used for storage. The sides are spring-loaded, and they're extremely light weight. It was a bit difficult to become accustomed to at first, and I didn't like how it made it feel like the glasses were going to fall apart. But now I'm more used to it, and I can say these are a pretty durable pair of frames for the price. Nothing prescription worthy, but you shouldn't be looking for high quality, made to last for years glasses in this price range anyway. The lenses are heavy glass (I purchased the 1x magnification), and while 1x is a little heavy for me (I use .75 prescription lenses), it works well enough for me to read my screen still. They DO warp some with movement due to being glass, so I definitely wouldn't recommend walking around with them, but while sitting still, this shouldn't be a very big problem. The lenses were rather smudgy and hard to see out of until I cleaned them properly with lens cleaner. Now they are really clear, perhaps more clear than my anti-scratch prescription lenses. I'm pretty sure they're glass though, and my prescription lenses are some form of plastic because of my astigmatism.Very cute to wear for ladies (I purchased black), and the yellow tint isn't too noticeable. I like how they do the same thing with the screen that blue light-blocking software does, as this was the whole purpose I bought them for (none of the blue light filter programs work on my particular Linux distro, and I just don't care enough to troubleshoot why, lol). They aren't anti glare, so if you're looking for something like that... you're going to have to get more expensive glasses. Now where the one-star reviewer is right: these don't filter ALL blue light. Where she is wrong though - they do filter SOME blue light, which is better than none at all, and for me doing graphic design work, is better than close to 100% as well. This is why: if they blocked ALL or most of the blue light, you wouldn't be able to see ANY blue colors on your screen. JUST red, green, and yellow. Since they just reduce the most irritating spectrums of blue light, what you get is nice clear blue COLORS combined with a yellowish tint to the high spectrum ones (like what's used to make the color white on a screen, explaining why it looks a little yellow instead of white).So... if you want to filter ALL blue light, you can't use the computer for anything that requires someone not being color-blind, and you honestly should have prescription tinted glasses anyway because you're not going to be able to stand any blue light in real life either, which means no sunlight, which is almost nothing but blue light. If you just need it reduced though so it doesn't cause eye strain, migraines, itchy/dry eyes, sleep issues, etc. these are the PERFECT pair of glasses to get, and they are a fantastic deal as well compared to the ones that block all blue light (those will run $15 at the very least). These are a good start for your first computer glasses. You can test out how well these will work for you by just filtering the blue light on your phone or laptop using software for a few days. If you see improvement, then you should probably buy these or a pair like them. If you don't, you should probably be seeking to filter way more blue light than any cheap pairs of these glasses can do.So there you go. A full explanation of what these are capable of, without the exaggerating drama in the first review I read when I visited this page. All the people that said these really helped them are NOT lying, nor are they stupid. They DO help, and they DO filter SOME blue light. The article she is referring to even says directly in it that the yellow style glasses DO block SOME blue light, just not anywhere near 100% of it, because it still allows you to see blue colors on your screen...Anyhow, I'm really glad I bought them. Now I don't have to fiddle with any blue light blocking software at all.I do need to add to this review that I ended up buying another pair of glasses, because I couldn't deal with the 1x magnification as someone that only needs .75x. I wish they offered .75x, because then I wouldn't have to purchase a different brand. Hopefully they will consider this recommendation! If you're at the .75 level, you're likely going to find 1x to be too strong, and feeling like it's ruining your eyesight instead of helping it.I'm also adding some pictures, so you can see how they wear etc.. like I said, super cute frames for a female.

Nice Readers but Relatively Short-Lived
These readers seem great so far. They fit well and the lenses seem pretty nice. Now working using my computer for hours at work isn't quite as much of a chore. I will buy more since I like to keep readers stashed at all my work stations.Update: I've now gone through 3 pairs that have all broken in the same spot over the course of several months (at the base of the nose rest on the right side). The last pair snapped yesterday after 4 months of nearly daily use. I contacted the seller after the first pair broke within about a month who graciously refunded the purchase price. The readers are nice; they just don't last as long as other inexpensive readers I've used.

What a difference they make
I am a 59 year old software engineer and I stare at 2 monitors for most of the day. I've been doing this for about 30 years and have did not think anything of it... but... I heard about these and thought "why not try them. I bought these 2 weeks ago, tried them and after the first day I saw a huge difference. The difference is slight but significant. The computer screen looks clearer and my iphone looks better. I wish I'd gotten them a couple of years ago when I first heard of them. btw, in my defense... computer monitors have changed a lot over the years. At first they used CRT technology and now they use LCD technology which is much brigher than in the past.

They last about a year but...
These glasses last about a year before they magically self destruct while you are wearing them. The frame around the lens just snaps. But wait...So why am I considering buying them again for the 3rd time?1 - They reduce eye strain dramatically.2 - They are light.3 - The magnification is accurate.4 - They are low priced.I work in front of a PC every day sometimes 12 or more hours at a time.So even if you handle them like butterfly wings don't expect them to last long. But for the time you are using them, they are great.
