So it did take quite a while to arrive after I ordered it but I guess that is to be expected with it coming from China. As I'm not an expert in light switches it's a bit difficult to work out whether what I wanted to order would be what I needed and although I did submit a question I didn't receive any reply. In the end I bit the bullet and bought the simplest item which was a single light switch which can be controlled via a remote switch (bit like a remote car key) and a remote light panel (this looks exactly like the light switch but you can stick it anywhere you like, e.g. outside the room).InstallationThis was really easy it was just a removing the old light switch making a note of the connections for the two wires and then fitting them into the appropriate terminals (see pics 1 and 2)Once you've screwed the wires to the appropriate terminals just screw the panel to the metal housing and the facing plate just pops on top and into place.I haven't tested either of the remote switches.Negatives:1. the rear casing is black, as you can see from the other pictures. I had expected white as I thought that was usual, perhaps that was my fault for not contacting the seller to specify I wanted white, but there is a white housing on a couple of the pictures advertising the product. Also, as I had already submitted a query and got no response I didn't think I would get a response.2. After installation, we noticed the light would come on by itself. It happened a couple of times and I was on the verge of taking it all off and putting the original socket back when I had the idea to reset the remote pairing system. For this I just pressed the light switch until I heard it beep four times. This solved the problem and I've not had any issues of this type since.PositivesThe switch looks really good and it works well.I would like to buy more and I'd also like to test out the broadlink control but in order to get the broadlink control you need to buy 20 pieces and I don't have that many light switches to replace!
