I read several review, positive and negative and decided to give this device a shot. It did an outstanding job on a women's Citizen and a men's Seiko watch. The underside of the watch links had an arrow to show which way the pin went out. I had watched a video to see how the device worked. It easily pushed out each pin without any bending or distortion. The pins went back in easily. I am thrilled at how easy this was! And since no damage was done to the device or the watches, I have set this aside in case I ever need it again. This is not a high quality device, but it is affordable and did the job beautifully. I didn't need a magnifying glass, other tools, or any elbow grease.

Ok, if you had an issue with using it due to black of directions, take your piece to a jeweler. It's literally the simplest tool to use other than a screwdriver. If aligned properly, you won't break it. Where it fails is the band elevator. For narrow bands, the pin pusher will bind on the platform. Also, it's near impossible to push the pins back in with this tool, so a small plastic mallet and brass punch work better. There are better tools for the job to push a pin back in, but removal is a snap. What would enhance this product would be the addition of a punch head that can be swapped out with the removal pin to push the link pin back in.

It took me just a minute or two to figure out how to get my watch bands off and how to adjust this band remover to remove the pins, but when I figured it out, I am so happy! I can now wear the watches that have been sitting in my drawer for a long time, because they are all fixed by using this awesome link pin remover! I am so happy that I found this item and you will be too!

Good link removal tool for the money. Very easy to use. Unfortunately the knockout pins were too small to get the link pins out far enough to make the job as easy as it could be (enter: pliers, cloth, and brute force/caution). That said, it beats doing the job without such a tool - a must for adjusting steel bracelets.

Item arrived on time as promised. The kit was incredibly easy to use. I have never removed links from a watch before and I was able to remove two links and replace the pins in five minutes. No joke. It also contained replacement pieces should something happen to the kit. I saved myself a ton of time and money not having to take my new watch to the jeweler. Very happy with this purchase.

The piece you are working with must be level/straight/even with the post. If it is off the post will bend and some of the pins are tough to push out. Once I put a supporting piece underneath the piece I was working on the tool worked great. I did bend a pin or two but was able to straighten them out.

It was fast delivery but quality is not that good, unfortunately it didn’t work efficiently, Band link remover pins break easily!

When you adjust the height the pin no longer can move into the watch pin. We folded paper to adjust the height. Glad we only wanted to use it for one watch band. It did get the job done tho before we bend all the pin pieces.
