Great little microphone. The battery lasts really well. I pair it with the osmo action 4 to record motorcycle videos. Once its connected once it just connects automatically and starts recording off a press of the button on the camera. The wind muff is awesome and i get no wind noise at all on my videos. The clip has a strong magnet for extra security. Small and light so you dont notice carrying it. Comes with a nice little pouch that you can also store things like SD cards, camera filters etc in. Good value for money now its even cheaper than when it was released

Super happy with this, got it for a good price but this is incredible quality and feature rich even for full price.

The insta360 X3 internal mic is rubbish outdoors especially in wind. I tried the Insta wind muffs, cheap foam blocks that show in the stitch line if you muff the front mic and they made no difference to wind noise - returned. I didn't want a Frankenmonster of cables, clips and wires so i got the DJI mic 2 TX only and connected via Bluetooth, it has a very strong magnet and clip. I got the cheaper white one as it's easier to find in the grass when camping. It can record audio on its internal storage like a dictaphone. Cons: Cannot use it's noise cancellation feature unless you have the Receiver as well but i think it is on by default. No App for the Transmitter only, can't change any config such as default sound level etc. You have to connect the mic every time you switch either of them off, annoying but hey, maybe a software fix coming? The phone app gets in a tizzy if the mic is also connected using Bluetooth. The cons are trivial against the benefits, can't vouch for longevity but it feels quality and robust, perfect for my needs.

It’s a great product by itself but it doesn’t say you need a receiver to connect it to your phone. As a complete beginner with using gadgets I would of liked to of known prior

DJI has a great reputation and this once again fits into the catagory of being fit for the purpose. It does an amazing job and I am really happy with it. We have a lot of DJI equipment and it is always of high quality.

i recorded 6 different sounds, 4 of them was corrupted and the sound was muddy. very disappointed.

Bluetooth connect doesn't work with all android devices. You can connect the device to the smartphone but a lot of the phones don't have the software options to pick the external connected mic. When you do find one that works you have to remember to disconnect the Bluetooth before trying to playback what you have recorded because it sees the device as a playback device too. I think this is a limitation with Android rather than the DJI Mic 2. It would be nice if they had an app for android that would resolve these 'issues'. The mic is pretty incredible though. The sound pickup is great, even through Bluetooth and the wind muff works really well. If you are buying to use for Android smartphone audio/video recording, make sure your device is capable of selecting the external mic, or you will be disappointed.
