"Hundred Acres" by S. Carey is Music for the Heart
I listened to one of the songs from this CD, which was recommended by One so Dear to my Heart, One who knows me better then anyone. The song captured my Heart in the most tender and loving way imaginable. I bought this CD and every song has captured the Musical Center of my Heart so deeply ♥ I bought the other 3 CDs available on Amazon "All We Grow", "Hoyas" and "Range of Light". If you want to listen to music that will transport you away from the mundane and into the exquisite bliss of gorgeous music, buy this and all 3 other CDs. ♥

S. Carey stays true to simple musical formula.
While I am a huge fan of Bon Iver's first 2 full-length albums, they began to lose me on after that. Writing weird, cryptic song titles and electronic voice manipulation that I just can't get into. S. Carey continues to go into simpler musical paths largely staying acoustic with lush melodies and beautiful vocals.

Honest, Heartfelt, Soft, Emotional, and Brilliant!
Hundred Acres by S. Carey is one of those albums that, in my opinion, has to be listened to in its entirety from start to finish, preferably alone and with headphones. Full gorgeous instrumentation, heavenly melodies, and incredible depth and honesty lyrically, it is one of the most impressive albums I have ever heard. At times it feels opulent and unreal because of its soft melodic grandeur, yet its simplicity and straightforwardness targets straight to the heart if one cares to truly listen. You just need to listen to Fool’s Gold and its lyrics once to know that S. Carey poured his heart into this album. And you just have to listen to that song once to realize that some creative geniuses out there can turn their sorrow into something soft, absolutely poignant, and heartbreakingly beautiful. Emotional and brilliant are understatements. My favorite song is the second one on the album, “Hideout.”If you like Sufjan Stevens, The National, Fleet Foxes, Keane, Simon & Garfunkel, Bon Iver, Paul Simon, Villlagers, Perfume Genius, Rufus Wainwright, Jose Gonzales, Don McLean, Father John Misty (J. Tillman), or enjoy Indie-Folk music you might love this album.

Sounds as good as it looks!
The design of the whole product is beautiful and well thought out. The photographs on the cover are beautiful and the gatefold design with the image inside was a nice surprise. The forest green of the vinyl is very nice and it sounds impeccable as well as calming.

De lo más bonito de 2018
Delicado, delicioso. Una voz encantadora. Mejor que lo mejor de Bon Iver, el grupo del que forma parte. Diez canciones de las que no resulta fácil cansarse...
