Split/Second (PS3)

Great action packed racer.

My 9-year-old says: It's a good game for kids interested in racing or attacking other cars with "Power plays". Power plays are triggers that you get by drifting, drafting, jumping, etc. Power plays can also open secret passages or make the routes change. My dad and I enjoy a lot the split-screen feature. It's the best we have seen in a racing game (on a 16/9 screen). The online competitors are really strong.

Really fun game. Nicely put together with outrageous tracks. If you have played and enjoyed the game Blur, then you will enjoy this. It is a slightly different take on a racing game. It is a mix of Blur, Need for Speed Underground and Burnout.Only drawback is that the vehicles aren't actual manufactured cars, although you can see where they have got their inspiration from.

Split Second is a superb game, yes, it may not be the longest game in the world and there are some points that would otherwise make it seem repetitive, but in general, it is a fun adictive game. It's a shame it doesn't sell more, because its games like this that deserve the credit they recieve and I personally feel this could do with a just deserved sequel.

what can i say , what a great game this is, i had so much fun with this game and still do even now, there ain't many games about these days that you would complete and then come back to, but this is one of them games that wont just collect dust on your shelf, you will get your money's worth out of this game believe you me. the graphics are superb plus you get alot of tracks to choose from some harder than others but overall a different sort of racing game/combat game. must have for all ps3 owners.

Great concept for a game but it can get somewhat repetitive as you go through the game. Overall, a great game for this price (£16) and I recommend to all who love casual arcade racers

I really enjoyed this game as it is very different than the rest of its genre. Not only is it enjoyeable to race but building up enough points during a race so you can detonate a building, bridge or hillside makes it unpredictable and challenging. There are plenty of game modes so it's not only about straight forward racing.
