What more can you say about Kamasi Washington and his music. This cd is great and I would recommend it to all who like great music!

Live this record. While some of Kamasi's other stuff can be long-winded (and long), this is perfect. Melodious, gorgeous instrumentation and a 'teachable' jazz record for novices, as all the tracks build around a common theme.

Kamasi Washington never disappoints and this album is certainly a must-have for anyone looking for light and sultry background music. Perfect for completing light tasks to or just listening during your relaxation sessions

I first heard a track from this on the Temple University radio station, WRTI, here in Philly, PA. Unbelievable! Can't wait to get some more and learn more about this incredible musician.

This is a wonderful concept and recording, perfectly executed. Five different songs on five different aspirational themes begin the EP, and then all 5 are combined at once in the final track. It's a gorgeous metaphor for, the beauty of diversity, the harmony of difference.

El vinyl es sencillo (negro), pero viene con un librito que platica una exposicion de pinturas que influyeron en Kamasi para crear las canciones bajo el mismo concepto de valores por separado que al unirse crean una manifestacion superior de arte. En el lado A estan las primeras 5 canciones que tienen elementos musicales reconocibles a ellas que se mezclaran en la 6ta cancion que esta en el lado B.Buen concepto y buen resultado.

Was soll ich sagen eine sehr schöne Platte die zum Träumen einlädt. Sehr gute Aufnahme Höhen und Tiefen stimmen hier auch die Platte sauber und Cover sehr gut verarbeitet. Leider nur eine normale Papier Innenhülle ohne Futter dies finde ich sehr schade, bei solchen Platten sollte immer vernünftige Innenhüllen drin sein.Nur Amazon sollte bessere Versand Kartons für Platten sich anschaffen diese war sehr Unstabil, Gefahr das die Platte sich beim Versand verbiegt, alles schon gehabt.

This is a great EP (its the same length as many LPs so don't worry about it being an EP) that showcases the melodious and creative jazz of Kamasi Washington which has drawn so much attention and acclaim.Sound wise, comparing the CD to the EP, they sound as if they used the same master, and are both excellent. The vinyl pressing is of good quality and largely free of extra noise, and comes with a informational booklet and a digital download code for the album in MP3 format (78MB total). The vinyl has a bit more presence, a wider soundstage, and the typical warmth from vinyl, while the CD has a more detailed treble presentation and the quieter background typical of CDs.Side two is amazing, where he expands and improvises on the themes presented in the first track of side one. It's a wonderful experience and one of the best B sides on any jazz album ever. It also takes advantage of one of the unique aspects of vinyl: that you have to get up and flip the record over, which provides sort of a mini-intermission type affect, allowing the listener to reflect on the A side and consider what the B side will be like. It encourages the listen to understand how the B side builds and harmonizes with the melodies of A.

アマゾンミュージックで聞いた耳に残るハーモニックなメロディーの曲「INTEGRITY」が入っているので、惹かれて購入、初カマシワシントンでした。彼の名前は聞いたことがありましたが曲は初めて聞きました。本人のサックスを中心にしたビッグバンド的厚みのあるメローな音が心地よい曲が多いと感じました。
