I bought this for the same reason everyone else bought theirs... I use mine to refill ninja Thirsti co2 containers and it works great. It only costs $70 to refill a 20 gallon tank of co2. I have been using the 20 gallon tank going on months using the ninja thirsti daily/multiple times a day. Great product and highly recommended!

I refilled my Drinkmate cylinder within 5 minutes of this arriving on my doorstep.Mine did have the integrated filter, unlike another reviewer's.I'd already had an empty 5lb CO2 tank from my home brewing days. I traded it for a full tank at my local gas supplier (Roberts Oxygen) for $35 (the price of a new, little Drinkmate canister)! All of their CO2 is food grade.My process:1. Weigh my empty canister (706g). Check my canister's capacity (410g). Target weight: 1116g.2. Freeze canister. (Or skip for a less complete fill.)3. Attach adapter hand-tight to 5lb tank.4. Screw empty canister to adapter.5. Invert the whole assembly (since my big tank is a normal one--not a siphon tube tank made for refilling).6. Slowly release big tank's valve. [However, I've read that the slow ramp up is unnecessary for Drinkmate and older (blue) Soda Stream canisters, which this adapter fits.]7. Wait for the hissing sound of transfer to stop (it only took around 10 seconds).8. Close the valve on the big tank.9. Unscrew filled canister from assembly.I weighed the filled canister at 1168g, which is a little past a complete fill (~105%). That's a result of preparing a fully chilled canister.Next time, I may skip the measurement since I landed close to the target. I can make a few drinks right away to purge the small overage.

This is honestly a waste of money and time. I had a hard time filling the bottles. Often times not getting the full load or none at all, but just a bit of co2 spray not the liquid. As you want the liquid to make the soda stream work. What worked so much better is the kit to connect a standard co2 tank found at a local brewing supply store. In this case you don't want the tank with the straw just a 5 lbs tank and no straw that you would need for this adaptor any how, if your invertering it. Anyone want to buy this and the bottles as I'm done with this mess.

Bought this to refill my drinkmate tank. My small tank has the "old" style top, with the narrow pin rather than the wider flat anti-refill top. This "old style" top is supposed to be easy to fill - connect everything up, open the valve, and let the gas flow.Initially, no matter what I tried I could not get CO2 to flow into the small tank from the large one. I unhooked the big tank from my kegerator, connected this adapter, threaded the small tank onto the adapter, inverted the setup, slowly opened the valve on the big tank, and could hear it open but nothing would flow. No amount of unhooking, reconnecting, releasing pressure, slowly opening, slowly threading the small tank on with gas flowing, or any other tricks would make it work.It is almost like there wasn’t enough pressure in the big tank to depress the pin and open the valve in the top of the small tank to allow things to equalize between the two. Frustrated, I hooked the big tank back to the beer keg and threw the small bottle back into the freezer.I tried again the next day, and it worked flawlessly. I don’t think I had the small tank cold enough when I initially tried it. My big tank is kept inside the beer cooler with the keg, and that may have meant I needed an even colder small tank? Whatever the science, I hooked it up today, inverted the setup, and as soon as I cracked the valve I heard the liquid flowing. Several seconds later it stopped, and after weighing the little bottle I had a 400 gram fill. Whole process was less than 3 minutes.Be sure your small tank is FROZEN!

Worked fine, no issues. Super easy to use. Didn’t try it on soda stream bottles. I refilled bottles that had a pin valve.

Works well with soda stream but doesnt fill it all the way i have the ones with the anti fill valve and it barley fills the tank even when refrigerated.

So this works well on the old blue style SodaStream CO2 canisters BUT when you open the CO2 valve to fill you have to crank it open 1 mm at a time VERY slowly until you hear the CO2 going into the bottle and then stop cuz it only refills if you go super super slowly and it takes a couple minutes for it to refill but you can hear it. If you open it even a little more it will stop due to the safety valve and then you'll have to start over by closing the tank valve and then releasing the adapter pressure and then tightening the adapter pressure knob and then once again open the CO2 canister super duper slowly like amazingly slow until you hear the flow.Also there is a brass filter in there that originally I thought was blocking the flow but it's just a filter. I poked it out with a screwdriver. You can pop it out or leave it in it's supposed to filter impurities from your CO2 sourceAlso I froze the canister overnight and I now have a full pound filling the CO2 canister. It's even more C02 than you get directly from SodaStreams canisters 🤠

Very simple. No strange taste. Dial is only for releasing trapped gas after the large tank valve has been closed. If valve of tank is opened more then a little the soda stream tank won’t fill. Chilling bottles first helps them fill more. Comes with extra gaskets.

I was having a difficult/impossible time filling my Sodastream cylinder. Noting the comments that there is no pin depressor on the adapter, yet it worked for some people and not others, I finally figured it out. There is an newer-style flatter depressor pin (left) on some cylinders, and an older-style thinner depressor pin (right) on other cylinders. This adapter works perfectly with the older-style thinner pins. Apparently the newer, flatter pins are designed to make refilling in this way more difficult or impossible.

On testing, CO2 flows from my full CGA320 donor tank through the adaptor, but nothing enters the empty TR21-4 SodaStream cylinder when it is attached… even trying to only open the main CO2 flow a slight turn (for less pressure) fails to fill the sodastream tank as suggested in the Amazon seller photos...THE PROBLEM: 1. The receiving side has no visible adjustable valve-depressor pin, and the instructions do not explain how the cylinder’s spring-loaded valve is supposed to open.2. Even if it worked there is no way to gauge how full the soda-tank is getting which may “blow” the safety bleed valve.I will try filling again with the slight turn of 20lb tank-valve but so far no success on my first 3 attempts…

My local store had no refills for my ninja thirsty cylinder. I had a full co2 tank. This paid for itself after filling 2 ninja thirsty cylinders.
