RIDGID 37098 6-mm Imager Head Accessory with 1-meter Cable, Camera Head, RIDGID SeeSnake Parts, black|grey|white

After trying several cheap 6mm scopes in the past, I had high hopes for this Ridgid version. I’ve owned the 17mm diameter version for years, and when I saw this would fit my existing camera I was sure it would be worth the investment. Unfortunately it hasn’t been that great. The first one arrived with only 3 of the 4 LED’s working, and the camera was skewed off to one side so a quarter of the lens was covered up by the casing. Amazon quickly replaced it, and the second seemed fine. However after only 3 uses the camera head has come loose from the black flexible tube. One good knock or pull would rip the head clean off. I expect this kind of build quality from the £30 scopes, but at £100 for just the camera head I expect a trade capable product.

If you are drilling, nailing into the wall and need to make small holes in the wall to make sure you don't hit any pipes or electrical, this head will help tremendously.The regular head is more than 1/2" so you would end up with a big hole to patch later. With this head, you only need a 6mm hole. You explore the are with the camera. When you're done, you patch up the hole and paint. The hole will be invisible again and you saved yourself from possibly hitting a pipe or electrical.

Needed this works fine

Works well. We stuck it on the original Ridgid SeeSnake at my work. It replaced the original camera that one of my coworkers destroyed while pulling it out of a hole in some sheet metal duct.

Picture /video quality poor

As a mechanic, I had to have this time. It is enabling me to get inside hard location in my car & give me the ability to see & what to do before start job for fixing my car. the size is perfect for the imager head.Also, you can use it in plumbing to see what block your sink.I chose 3 star due to I receive one broken accessory with imager head. It is the mirror.very useful item.
