fantastic idea, just didn't work for me (maybe there wasn't enough room in the side of the junction box?)Addition 3/31:The seller contacted me the day I posted this review and offered some workarounds. We had a subsequent exchange, but, unfortunatly, they still don't work. I changed the star rating from one to four, because I'm becoming more and more convinced the problem is that my junction box is unduly narrow. I've actually looked at other peoples boxes, and they seem to be wider.So, my advice if you're considering these is to take the plate off your outlets and see if you have at least a quarter of an inch on each side. See photo - the copper contacts stick out to push against the terminal to get the electricity (what a great design!).Otherwise, a good experience, the plates got here on time, packaged nicely, and the guy was as responsive as could be. I'd def buy stuff from him again.

Have one of the two installed. It works just as described. Especially like the manner in which it dims when ambient light is detected. The sensor is quite sensitive, so even though my unit is located in a relatively dark interior hallway, it progressively dims as daylight emerges each day until it turns itself off until darkness returns. The unit I replaced in that location (another brand) remained lit 24/7. The wall plate design means that it doesn't intrude into the hall space to snag a passing leg, as the former one did occasionally. Excellent product, very satisfied.

My kids like them but they are a bit bright. I think eventually I will have to take them off as I can see them from down the hall/across the hall. If they were just a bit dimmer, they would be perfect.

Easy to install but a few months have gone by and the lights seem to be getting dimmer on one of the plates.

These do not work. I tried to put one in the hallway outlet so we could have nightlights for the grandchildren and after 6 trips from the 3rd floor to the basement to turn power off and on, I gave up, boxed them up and returned. I adjusted the outlet several times so the contacts on the plate would work and it never did. These are junk and I returned them to seller. Do not believe all the hype. Plus I never got the "Bonus Book" as shown in item description. CAN NOT AND DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Good for the price, but not very bright. Easy install but expected for cover.

The item was everything that was promised! Received in a very timely manner. Will definitely purchase again. A good buy and great service.
