Product Description Kiss is the debut album from 2012's biggest pop breakout star Carly Rae Jepsen. the Canadian singer-songwriter wrote or co-wrote tracks with the likes of Max Martin, Dallas Austin, Redfoo, Matthew Koma, Toby Gad and more. The album includes the smash hit "Call Me Maybe", along with the Owl City Duet "Good Time". Review Let’s get the big question out of the way first. No, there’s nothing on this album that will rival Call Me Maybe in the startling ubiquity stakes. None of these songs will appear in YouTube parodies about Doctor Who or the Cookie Monster, and none of them have the power to barge into people’s lives – people who don’t like pop songs, people who don’t even have ears – and force them to be aware of its existence. Not that this means Carly Rae Jepsen’s second album is a failure; very few pop stars have a song as demanding of the attention as Call Me Maybe. In fact, that one hit looms so large that when Tiny Little Bows, the first song, launches into a little “we just met” refrain, the familiarity of the idea reverberates far louder than the sampling and chipmunk-ification of Sam Cooke’s Cupid. Never mind the wilful desecration of the past; surely she has songs that aren’t about a first encounter?Well yes, yes she does – she has loads. There are innocent songs about crushes, songs about finishing with a boy, songs about a first kiss; songs for would-be lovers who are a bit nervous about how everything works. Guitar String / Wedding Ring describes a love so humble that Carly would fetishise his rusty castoffs as if they were precious metal. It’s a young girl’s song of idealised passion, negating the self and ignoring all unsavoury physical reactions.Or there’s Beautiful, a skippy acoustic redraft of that One Direction song with Justin Bieber playing the adoring boyfriend, or possibly Bruno Mars. Even when she plays the Ke$ha dirty stop-out role, in the witless Good Time – featuring Owl City – there’s precious little whisky on hand to clean her teeth. Everything has been wiped so clean even grammar can’t find a foothold. There are no excursions into dubstep, no guest rappers and no raunchiness, just good clean wholesome party (as in jelly and ice-cream) fun. Kiss is chaste and tailor-made for anyone who finds Rihanna too ripe, Lady Gaga too weird and Katy Perry too all-over-the-place. --Marcus J. Call Me Maybe = the weakest track, maybe?
I loved Call Me Maybe and was certain Carly Rae would be a one hit wonder. How could someone possibly top a song like that?Well, Carly has somehow managed to do that and this album is almost infallible. I love 12 of the songs and will be going into more detail about that shortly. Most importantly, I don't dislike and of the tracks...the deluxe ones aren't as good as the rest, but are still pleasant and, IMO, worth the extra money. The best tracks for me are This Kiss, Turn Me Up, Hurt So Good and Tonight I'm Getting Over You...these tracks are very similar and a little repetitive, but in a good way. That is what makes them catchy. They are simple songs with a great tune and a great voice...These are club anthems and dance floor extraordinaires.I also love Your Heart Is A Muscle, which is slower, compared to the fast, loud, brash and sugary sweet other tracks. There are one or two other good, mid-tempo songs but this is my favourite. It is catchy and heartfelt...Normally songs are either one or the other. There are only a few songs I am not so keen on. Those are currently Beatiful (featuring Jusin Bieber) and the deluxe tracks. The deluxe tracks are good, but they aren't catchy - with the exception of I Know You Have A Girlfriend. As for Beautiful, Carly Rae made one massive mistake...she altered her voice to fit Justin's and, although he is clearly a massive celebrity and great singer, the artist should never change to fit the guest artist. The song felt like Justin's and Carly just didn't fit it. I applaud her ability to work with others, though and this would be an amazing track for Bieber's album. The only NEGATIVE thing I have to warn you is that it is fast, teen-pop that writes about innocent teenage relationships and crushes. I love that theme and can relate to it, but some of Carly's older fans maybe not appreciate the theme. But, I don't think this is bad...she knows her niche. I am merely warning buyers.Otherwise, this album is amazing and I find it hard to believe any Carly fans won't love it! Well done, Ms Jepsen!I love the inclusion of her older singles too; they are great songs and it is certainly good for people who buy CDs as a disc to have a copy of.

Not a debut album....
Our girls loved the EP, and we purchased tug of war from Canada which is the debut album and really good. Ten years time I very much doubt she will be around but this album is great and our girls love it.

AMAZING!
I was totally not expecting such a good album but it really is amazing!!! It's Carly's version of 'Teenage Dream' (the album) it's got no fillers whatsoever....apart from that duet with Justin Bieber but it was inevitable that he'd do a duet with her seeing as 'he found her'. It's not a bad song though, I just don't like his voice.BUY IT. SHE IS NOT A ONE HIT WONDER.

Got the song I wanted.
Bought for Call Me Maybe after hearing the sound bytes on the gum commercials. Never heard of her before. Had to do a lyric search. Got yesterday. Only heard the song I wanted. The commercials are true to the original. Quite pleased. Anything else on the CD I like will be a bonus.

Destacan This Kiss, Tonight I’m Getting Over You, Good Time (con Owl City), entre otras.La edición en Vinyl es un fotodisco de colección, y trae un voucher para descargar las canciones.
