A convenient backpack for toting your laptop and other items...
I am returning to nursing school next year, and I got a new HP laptop. That said, I needed a good bag to carry it in. This bag is perfect. It is padded to protect the laptop, but has plenty of room for other accessories, books, tablets, etc. It's a great value!

Nice small backpack for daily use to and from work
I can't say I've tested the purported waterproof coating that the fabric has, but overall I'm happy. What I like about this backpack is that it's relatively small but has enough pockets to suit my needs. I've been using a very nice Swiss Army backpack that I bought at Costco years ago, but it's quite big. I'm not going backpacking with these backpacks - I use one to carry my 15" Macbook Pro and a lunchbag that is roughly 8x12x3 inches, along with anything else that has to go with me on random days. The Swiss Army backpack is considerably larger than this one and feels like overkill for my minimal daily needs. The HP backpack is smaller in pretty much every dimension, and that's a good thing. It not only feels smaller but also lighter and is just as comfortable. The computer portion of the bag also contains a pocket that is perfectly suited to a 9.7" iPad. The new iPad Pro, at 10.5" should still fit but might be a bit snug. Securing the computer and the tablet pocket is a thick nylon strap that velcros to the pocket. I found out accidentally that there is ample room in the computer portion of the backpack to also fit that lunchbag mentioned above, but it's a tighter fit than I liked. I was a little let down the first couple of times I used this backpack because of this, because I'd overlooked just how deep the next pocket was - I'd mistaken that for a short "loose items" pocket with space only for pens and other small things like that, and not equally as deep as the computer pocket. The lunchbag fits much better in here and frees up room in the computer pocket for thinner items, like a book.In the front is what I have been calling the "banana pocket," as it's where I carry my daily banana. It's just the right size, though I suppose you could also put a phone, small book, etc. in there if you didn't want or need to carry a banana. The cupholder on the sides are extra deep and hold tall thermos-type cups quite well. This is a big step up from the much shorter cupholder on the Swiss Army bag. Finally, there's a section of webbing on the front that, frankly, I have no idea what to do with. There's a thin layer of padding at the bottom of the bag that I'd hoped might protect the computer a bit when setting the bag down, but the padding fits ONLY the bottom of the bag, allowing the computer to "slip" past it when being set down, which results in the computer smacking down on whatever surface is below. Just be mindful when setting it down - it's not going to offer much protection.
