Ninja Hot & Iced XL Coffee Maker with Rapid Cold Brew, Black, CM371

It's amazing to me how often you can try to get something pretty simple, and it doesn't do the job well. This is an example of something that simply does what it's supposed to do, and does it well. It makes coffee. It's sturdy, it's elegant, it does a surprisingly good job of espresso ("Specialty"), not as good as my stovetop coffee maker but really not far off. It has the milk frother, which we haven't used often but which works and is easy to use, clean and stow. My 2 bugbears with it would be: 1. Like a lot of other coffee makers (OK, probably all the ones I've seen) it has the means of a stand for a carafe or for a mug, but it would be so much more helpful if the stand for the mug could be adjusted in height for different size mugs, to prevent splash. Again, though, I haven't found one that does that well, so I can't complain. We use coasters to stack up smaller mugs for that reason. 2. While I said it makes espresso well, the included filter isn't quite up to the task of filtering out the espresso coffee, so you end up with a certain amount of coffee grounds in the cup. It'd probably be better with a paper filter as well, though I haven't gotten around to testing that yet. Probably just a paper towel would do it. But those are relatively minor quibbles. I'm just glad I was able to buy something that was not expensive and which I found, to my relief, did what I wanted it to do, no fuss. Happy.

This is such an amazing coffee maker because there are so many wonderful functions and its aesthetically pleasing as well. This is how I have my coffee bar set up in my house. There are 2 options for regularly brewed coffee: classic and rich. Then there are 2 more options: iced and cold brew. These options take a little longer to brew because its making a concentrated batch. My favorite part? The water tank. It holds so much water and I am able to select the amount of coffee I want to be dispensed anywhere from 8oz to 55oz. I dont need to refill it every day like standard coffee machines. ALSO, the coffee ground filter basket swivels out! Super cool. It also has a reuseable coffee filter so no more buying paper filters. And to top it off, on the side of the machine comes a measuring spoon with a different size on each end with directions on how to make the perfect batch of coffee. Honestly, this is the best investment I've ever purchased, and its not wildly expensive either.

Our old single cup coffee maker recently brewed its last cup and we decided to splurge for the Ninja Hot & Iced XL instead of doing something more basic. This is an awesome machine! It is really well made, and looks so nice on our counter! It is versatile in being able to make both hot and cold brew coffee in varying sized cups along with a full carafe at a time. The brewing time is reasonable and we appreciate the features like the delayed start. The carafe holds plenty for my husband and I to enjoy in the morning - and it pours nicely without spilling. We are so happy with our decision to buy this one - it's worth the money, and the quality is great so I expect that it will last long enough to have a good return on our investment in the form of caffeination!

Imagine spending $400 on a drip coffee maker and throwing it out in less than a year. Yeap, replaced a Moccamaster with a Ninja Specialty and I could not be happier. Love coffee, mostly drink 4-6 cups of freshly ground coffee a day. I had an older basic Ninja for several years before giving it to my son and wife, thinking it was a win win, so that when I visited I could enjoy a great cup of coffee, while at home I thought I would upgrade to a superior coffee machine (Moccamaster recommended by Wirecutter). The Moccamaster was a rip off. Could not fathom spending that kind of money, just to throw it away. Right? Tolerated it for less than a year then couldn't stand it anymore. In the garbage it went. Lesson learned. Ninja Specialty surpasses my expectation. First it makes excellent coffee. Can choose classic or bold, cup, mug, half or full pot, and the machine adjusts accordingly. The ease of use now is great, don't have to pull the machine out from under the cabinet anymore since the filter holder pulls out the front area. The water reservoir can also be removed from the side and be filled or washed. Has its own scoop that shows how much coffee is recommended depending on the brew cycle. Have not tried the frother yet. Another improvement is that if you want to grab a cup before the brew finishes you just move a lever to the left, which pauses the brew, this is important because all the machines I ever had, when you pull the carafe out, some coffee drops still drip on the hot plate which fizzles and stains the base. What a great great well thought out and tested machine. Highly recommend! Ninja appears to build products that are built around what their customers want while others appear to build products based on profitability and greed, using their brand well initially as a trap then turning their goods into garbage and charging excessively for inferior products. Again, lesson learned.

We've owned several Keurig coffee makers over the years, and we're big fans of single cup brews. Unfortunately, we've also had every single Keurig machine break down on us...which has become very frustrating, AND expensive. Combine that with the fact that our favorite K-cups have gone WAY up in price, it just wasn't sustainable any longer to continue with Keurig. After looking around at alternatives, I found this Ninja coffee maker and I thought the option to brew a full carafe or single cups of coffee to be exactly what I was looking for. For those that use the feature, there is also an automatic brew option, so you can set it before bed, and wake up to a carafe or cup of coffee in the morning without the wait if you should so choose. I can't really speak about the issues I've read on here regarding leaking carafes, etc. because we really only brew one cup at a time. For this purpose, this coffee machine works perfectly. It does take a little longer to brew a single cup than a Keurig, but the coffee and options you have are so much better than a Keurig. Because you can fill your filter basket however you like, you can make your coffee as strong or as weak as you like because you're no longer limited to a pre-measured K-cup. So, the coffee tastes far superior to K-cups, AND overall, it's MUCH cheaper to buy coffee. Also, your coffee options are no longer limited to brands that produce K-cups. You can buy ANY coffee. I know, some people will say you can buy K-cup pods and fill them with your favorite coffee...but I've done that plenty of times, and they ALWAYS taste weak to me. Fast forward to today, we've had this machine for over a year now and thankfully we've had zero problems with it at all (unlike our previous 5 Keurig machines). Personally, based on our experience with this Ninja, I would definitely recommend this coffee maker to anyone who loves coffee, and I would absolutely purchase it again - with zero hesitation. It also is a stunning-looking machine that would look amazing on any countertop. Definitely the best coffee maker I have ever owned.

The design stood out, so I decided to give it a try when the ol' Hamilton Beach packed it in. After almost a year of use, I'm quite satisfied with it. The brew options are great; love being able to do a cup or two. Adjusting the duration and temp of the heating pad it nice; too many of those things burn way too hot. Its quiet and fast; with a polite little beep to tell me that its coffee time!

This is the coffee machine I've been waiting for! Not yet around in Canada, but ships from the USA via Amazon Canada. I don't need a coffee machine that makes tea, I don't need a spinning whirly gig on the side to froth milk... I need a 'Coffee Machine!' And this is it! Boy does it keep coffee hot and that's on the low 'keep warm' setting which doesn't tarnish the flavor. And what about that flavor, it's amazing whether just brewing a single mug or brewing a complete giraffe (it has a long neck) the flavor is consistent. Love, love, love the cold brew feature. How have I lived without this? Previously I'd brew a pot of coffee and put it in the fridge to cool down, but this baby brews straight over ice, again by the mug, if that's all you need. Again, awesome full flavor without being bitter. It sits under the counter too and because of the horizontal action of the brew basket, you don't have to move the machine everytime you want to brew a coffee. The included measuring spoon attached to the side and 'drip stop' feature make this machine standout from the crowd for sure. I'm English, we don't make cups of tea in a coffee machine and I believe you would be deported from the UK for doing so. So if it's real coffee you're into and not all that ridiculous frothing nonsense, this is the machine for you!

Muy buena compra. Jubilamos una guerrera Mr. Coffe que teniamos y notamos el gran salto a esta cafetera ojala nos dure la mitad de tiempo que aquella. Rapida, buen cafe y muy comodo que puedes hacerte desde una taza hasta una jarra completa. A mis hijas les encanta el espumador para sus bebidas.
