A very nice harness and excellent value for money. The quality of construction appears to be exceptional and of course it is made in the USA and that is always a benefit. The reflective qualities are very good and even in the daylight it provides excellent visibility at a distance. It does take a while to get the adjustments correct and I am not sure that I have them at right at the moment as the harness has irritated an area on my dogs chest. The other thing I should mention regarding this harness which I did not see in the product description is how it fits. I am neo expert in this but it is definitely restrictive in the sense that it stops the dog from pulling when on the leash. Some people may be looking for this type of harness and if so it really works as my dog is a puller and I was pleasantly surprised by this but he will not run in this harness when he off leash and that is a drawback and means I have to make decisions based upon the days activities as to whether the harness is the correct piece of kit for the activities we are planning.All told though a real bargain and well worth the money.

We have purchased two of the dog harnesses for our black lab, Sparky. He loved the first one so much, one day he decided to chew it up. I am sure it kept him busy for hours. We now hide the new harness.The reason for the 4 out of 5 stars is primarily for one small problem. One day I went to put the harness on the dog and I discovered the clasp seems to be backwards. Now either I am getting old or there is a slight design flaw, but somehow the harness got turned all pretzel-like. I didn't have my thinking cap on, so I just connected it the best I could and walked the dog. Now, my kids always bring me their puzzle games (like Rubix cube, and whatnot) and I can normally solve them within 5 minutes. For some strange reason, it took me 15 minutes to wrap my brain around the Sassy Dog Harness Puzzle. Maybe a smarter man could have solved it sooner, but be warned it might take 15 minutes of your life when you really don't want to give it up.

This harness is for people with calmer, well disciplined dogs. My dog, Marleigh, is a medium dog, however, her whippet mix girth forced me to go up to a large. I admire this harness because it is thick and brightly colored. Another dislike is that the straps are too close to the dogs "armpit." When Marls and I went on our first walk, she seemed to enjoy the feeling of being harnessed into something that monitored and slowed her walking. I must admit she isn't as headstrong as with a choke collar. I LOVE the huge snap clamp that keeps it on, strong and durable! The last thing that bothered me about this was that it slides all over when the dog shifts from side to side on the leash. It isn't snug enough where the top stays on the dog's back. I think next time I'll try a medium, but still not sure about that. Do your research and measurements before you choose! I love the skull print on this harness, unfortunately I think they are like iron on prints so they will eventually wear off. The fit is awkward. Its to the smallest size it goes. Fits my dog great around his underside, but the upper portion is still too large. Easy to put on my k9 buddy and I like the way the leash clips on to the harness.

Fits a wide range of dogs! I foster pitbulls and american bulldogs, it adjusts to fit many different dogs in the large size range. I have had it on a 45lb dog, and a 100lb dog. It allows for great control with the clip points being behind the shoulder blades. We have other Sassy Dog harnesses, and will continue to buy them when we need more. These are quality harnesses, and I are extremely well made. The reflective stripe will come in handy when winter comes and it gets dark so early. The harness was very stiff when it arrived and one of the dogs has very sensitive skin. I washed it twice in a load with fabric softener and it was nice and soft/flexible and didn't bother the dog at all.

Excellent highly reflective and visible orange. Got one size larger than needed to get the widest 1" harness. Even if it is too big, you can cut out the excess length and stitch by hand with sturdy button thread. Easy. Then, you have extra reflective fabric for a collar, necklace or to put over the harness if the reflective part wears off. Use to buy orange reflective ribbon from fabric stores but it was discontinued and couldn't find on internet either. The wider the better visibility. Have invisible 45 lb. chocolate lab mix. Love the security of the 2 metal attachment loops in case the buckle breaks. Had plastic buckle break with another brand and the harness came off. In case it is ever discontinued, I just ordered another harness and 2 matching leashes. We will always have a dog.

Love it! I purchased a medium for my 40 lb shepherd mix. I was honestly concerned it was too small at first, but with some adjusting it fit perfectly with a little room to spare! Great reflective stripe and so far doesn't rub under her legs. We've gone for probably 5 runs with it and it's been great! I like the double loop by the clasp. If the clasp were to fail, the harness would be held in place by the leash with the double clasps. I recommend this product! The picture I am attaching is with a bungee leash I bought on Amazon too.
