Cost Accounting Made Simple: Cost Accounting Explained in 100 Pages or Less (Financial Topics in 100 Pages or Less)

Excellent Summary of Cost Accounting
I am an accountant with a MS in Accounting and MBA with a finance concentration. My passion is accounting mixed with budgeting and forecasting. Since I want to transition my career from financial accounting to working as a cost accountant, I was looking for a short summary as a refresher. The formatting and outline style of this little book is what I was looking for. However, I was taken aback by the negative dedication. I have been working a few years in the industry and love the work. If I could make a recommendation to the author, I would suggest revising the dedication and forward to reflect a positive and uplifting aspect of the accounting field not a negative one."For you, the reader, in the hope that accounting will be a useful tool throughout your career rather than a stumbling block or source of confusion." Reading this made me feel sick inside. I would change the "rather than..." section to "your career (and that you find much satisfaction and reward in your work).

EXCELLENT RESOURCE
Cost Accounting is complicated, in my opinion. Taking a community college class on Managerial accounting I struggled, but this book alone has been instrumental in clarifying the key components I failed to understand in the class. Amazing resource!

Easy and quick read!
This was a very well written book. It was quick and easy to read, but not overwhelming.Obviously it doesn't go into real depth, but gives you an overall understanding of cost accounting, so that when you DO want to drill down into the process more, you at least understand the basics, which helps a ton!
