My basement flooded and the bottom 3 wooden stairs rotted. With these I was able to cut off the rotting section attached this item and repair my steps cheaply instead of a $1,000+ replacement. I also appreciate all the hardware included

well they are strong enough. however . poor in design. it needs a drill here template or at least a measurement diagram. the front hole no problems plenty of room. the back good luck. with the supplied bolts, too long to get a socket in there, heck i bought shorter ones and still barely had room. open end wench not with the slight u channel design. and forget about their expansion bolts, use carriage, lags or headlocks instead. but they do work over all
