ExpressionMed Dexcom G6 Overpatches Waterproof - Breathable Non-Fraying Material, Easy-Apply Split Backing, Pack of 5 (Animal Fun Variety Pack)

I have only been wearing a "Constant Glucose Monitoring" device for just less than two years. My first device, I hated; I had to scan it frequently, the adhesive did not stick well, and I couldn't get it wet. (I had water physical therapy during this time, and my devices just kept coming off!) Plus my glucose levels were way higher than I knew they were. Because I had I still had to take my blood sugar by sticking my finger anyway. Why was I wearing this thing?! I talked with my Endocrinologist, asked if there wasn't something better to try? Dexcom 6 (I didn't know there was a newer version coming out at beginning of 2023). So I got started Dexcom 6 my cover patches still tended to come off in water! Then one day at water PT there was a woman who had the exact CGM Dexcom with a patch that looked like it was part of her skin!! I ask if I could look at it closer, and discovered a small 'em©️ and I looked forward to trying these patches. I read these recommend the following preparation: 1) clean skin with alcohol before applying Dexcom unite. 2) Also apply Skin Tac©️ avoiding area where center of Dexcom device {the shape of the Dexcom sensor} before applying Dexcom. After allowing Skin Tac to thoroughly dry, (making skin feel tacky) 3)Do apply the Dexcom, skin Tac and patch, at least twelve hours before being in water. If things aren't going to stay, you will know it right away. But if you got it right? It stays on tight! I love the Expression Med Adhesive Patch©️

I have been wearing a Dexcom G6 for 3+ months and was very disappointed with the adhesive patch that comes with the actual Dexcom, I had to go without it for a bit because insurance wouldn't provide extra coverage of the Dexcoms I had lost from them falling out. So I looked to this as a solution! I had no issues with application or early peeling. Sometimes the edges would come a little undone but overall the majority of the product stuck. If I was annoyed by any mild lifting, I just trimmed the ends. I'd even say that if the Dexcom itself lasted more than 10 days, so could this adhesive patch. Thankful for this product. Though like any other kind of adhesive product I'd definitely say make sure your skin has no products on it and is dry. I'd also advise not getting the adhesive wet for at least the first 12-24 hours - though the times that I have gotten it wet in less than 12 hours, I still had no issues with the product.

I bought these for my G-6 Dexcom sensors as over patches. They are pretty and definitely help keep my sensor in place for the full 10 days. The ones I order directly from Dexcom are free and work but when I need to order some to look pretty or in between my Dexcom orders these work great. I just wish they were cheaper.

We have had nothing but good experiences with this brand. My daughter loves all of the designs. We have been using them for over a year now and absolutely love them. They fit perfectly over her dexcom G6. this pack in particular had one t we didn't prefer was the white lace looking one. It is too opaque and you cannot see the design. It looked funny over her dexcom. All others were very cute. The floral designs are perfect for spring and summer. She did not like that you could see her dexcom patch through the overlay. I've attached a picture for just the one that we did not care for. It looked great over the white paper but as soon as we put this on it didn't look right. But she loves the other floral designs. And we would buy this pack again just for the others designs! We have been buying this brand for over a year with great success on all of the purchases. They last great in the summertime, swimming, activities and karate. And lots of daily life for a 10 year old who is very active. She's always trying new designs and this is our go-to brand. This brand has wonderful, well made, durable, fashionable designs We will continue to buy this brand. And will most likely even purchase this pack again. I hope they can fix this one print to look better when it's on.

I have used this underpatch for years. Great adhesion; keeps my sensor successfully attached regardless of weather. I had on subscription but the G6 has been discontinued so wont need these any longer.

7/15/2023 Update: Love these patches but had reaction to each and every patch I applied on my skin. It doesn’t matter what I do, applied topical Benadryl, Flonase etc but I still react anyway. It’s fun to look at but not fun to have on due to itching and discomfort. Also doesn’t last very long, no more that 4-5 days. The first picture was from a patch that was placed and removed 6 days ago. The patches leaves an unsightly discoloration from the reaction. Again, love the product but it doesn’t love me back. I would love it if you only one particular design (my favorite is the 🦒). People thinks I had tattoos done as I wear my DexCom on my upper arms. Definitely a head-turner. It’s sticky and as advertised but make sure you apply it properly with no creases. I had to change one out after a “crease” got lodged with water. The next patch stayed for 7 days and it was very sticky to remove. No reaction from the adhesive yet. I am allergic to a lot of things.

I got these to wear on a recent beach vacation. These worked great and held the entire week! I was in the ocean every day too. I am not an active swimmer, but feel these would hold up to a decent amount of water activity. Definitely worth the investment to ensure you don’t lose a sensor while having fun this summer.

These do not really flex and if you take normal not super hot showers and not very long showers just know it will feel loosened and not secure. The first overpatch felt like it was shifting and loosening so that was worry some. Mind you i gently pat the area dry and do not rub it or do anything abrasive while drying or in the shower. Located towards the back of my upper arm. It was lifting at the edges by day 4 and the design was showing signs of wear so not very visually appealing. The 2nd overpatch lasted 2 days before so much of it had come loose that I had to take it off because it was loosening the white sticky part of the sensor and that worried me that I would lose the whole sensor. So now I am onto patch 3! This is only day 12 and 3 overpatches applied, 2 sensors total. Ugh, for the price and reviews I had read, I'm fairly disappointed. The clear overpatches from dexcom suck but at least they were better than these. Any advise? I really think the advise of using yet another product to make these stick is NOT the answer because if that is truly needed then it should be included. The adhesive on these overpatches is super weak and apparently can't handle normal showering/wear for 10 days. I do not recommend these to anyone. These are nice looking at first but the visual aspect combined with weak adhesive makes this a poor value in my opinion.
