Easy install, works great so far! My 48v golf cart needed this to install a 12v head light. The only thing to keep in mind is it will constantly draw a small amount of amperage. Some videos I saw recommend installing a relay that is triggered by the switch, so I may try that in the future.

The first one I ordered did not work, so I sent it back. It would receive input from the battery but would not convert the voltage down to 12 volts. The return was easy and about two days later I had the replacement that worked great.

It appears to be well built. The case is nice and the silicon is intact. But it failed. After a few days of use. I purchased it for a project back in July. Finally got to installing it about two weeks about and actually powered it up on August 29. It lasted literal hours of operation. Then the output dropped to about .15V with a load hooked and about 1.8V without any load. I’m not very good about leaving reviews, so bear with me here. There is no “warranty claim” button anywhere. But there is a troubleshoot button. Great. Click it. None of the options actually pertain to this item. It’s a 48v to 12v dc converter. But the options are mostly 110v or 220v ac. When I clicked on the only operational choice in the troubleshoot section that applied, I was told to disassemble and look for damage. It’s a silicon molded electronic. There are no “screws on the case” as I was directed to remove before inspection. I would avoid this thing if for no other reason than the abysmal after purchase product support.

If you have aftermarket add on’s this is a must. Easy to install just make sure you use the same gauge wire, as the product.
