Un-Readable, grammatically awful.
This book is un-readable. The lack of articles (the words a, an, the) makes it brutally hard to comprehend. I have tried on several occasions to pick the book back up, but give up in disgust after about 5 pages. Also this book can be condensed into about 10 pages due to the 48 point type. Git is quite simple, but this book tortures the English language into a painful exercise in reading and comprehension.

I can get better finding a free tutorial on the web
This book seriously needs a proof reader - It is full of grammatical errors and this makes it really hard to follow. I managed to read the first chapter with some difficulty. I found I had to keep going back and re-reading sentences and inserting missing words to try and make sense of what I was reading. I then got onto a series of examples that are telnet sessions with little or none annotations. Not worth the 3 quid I paid for it, I can get better finding a free tutorial on the web.

Not Impressed
This book starts of well, explaining how things work in Git. However, into the second chapter, it starts by rattling a series of steps with no explanation as to why. Why do we need to create a dev user group and a separate user to use Git? I mean, what do we intend to do here? And why do we need to have ssh keys set up? What is a bare repository and why are we setting it up? Shouldn't these be explained somewhere in the chapter itself? I will try to read this book as I have spent money on it, but not very hopeful as of now.

I don't recommend this book to anyone!
Unless you have any idea what git, or let's version control is, you won't be able to read this book... It bases on to many knowledge about it. Maybe it's usefull as a small summary for people that already have a basic knowledge about git. Also the book is very thin, the font is humongous and many pages aren't completely used when they are used at all. I've never seen a book with so many white pages before. I don't recommend this book to anyone! At least he wants to waste money.
