The product is very absorbent. But are very stiff and do not wash well when needed. I that these came with an absorbent towel as a bonus. Works very well on dishes that I wash by hand. I feel if they made these a little less stiff it would be a perfect product for your kitchen to lay wet dishes on. Overall I will continue to use these drying matts.

I really like using a drying mat over the drying racks as it is much easier to pull out when needed and put away when not needed, and they can easily be washed along with the rest of the laundry. Decent size and color, has enough absorbency and padding. Earned its way into the regular drying pad rotation (I have 3 others).

Great for mugs and other items on the coffee bar

I have a little drying rack for my dishes and I wanted to put one of these underneath it so it would catch the excess water. This is perfect. The material is super absorbent. AND it comes in a pack of two. So I can wash one and throw the other one underneath the drying rack. I love it!

I had just opened these when a short time later we heard water gushing. A pipe going to our upstairs bathroom had broken during a freeze and when it thawed a gusher of water began flowing through our laundry room ceiling light. We have pantry shelves in there for storage and we keep taller things on the floor below the shelves. By the time we got the water turned off upstairs, and the flood taken care of with the shop vac, everything under the pantry shelves had been sitting in water for a while. I spread these two mats out on a table and begin moving everything to them, including canned goods, bottles of soap, boxes of crackers, etc. I was so tired I didn’t even bother drying them off, I just wanted someplace to put them out of the way until I could deal with them. The next morning I assumed we would have to throw a lot of the things away. I was completely surprised to find everything completely dry. Even the cardboard boxes didn’t look too bad and the contents inside the plastic packages inside were still perfectly dry. There was not a drop of water that had leaked anywhere on the table, and these items had been dripping water from the bottoms when we placed them there. We had jammed them up together, and barely had enough room for everything. I was quite impressed not to see a drop of water anywhere and the mats didn’t even feel damp. They worked very well for the purpose for which they were designed.
