The media could not be loaded. YEP!!!!Definitely a 10 out of 10 STARS product!!!Firstly, it’s quiet. But like REALLY QUIET!!!Secondly, it has a flashlight.And third, it grinds the nails down really well and really quickly, but not too quick to where you’ll be too worried of hurting your pet. There are 2 speed settings, but BOTH are strong yet reasonable, and neither take off too much too fast.I want to express this accurately… I put my flesh on this grinder on high… and my finger was perfectly fine. It’s safe and you can get a REALLY close cut without hurting your dog at all!!!I got this because even though my dogs let me cut their nails, I can’t get a close enough trim without them flinching. And to be honest, they still flinch, but not because of pain. Again, I put my flesh on this grinder fully, and was not harmed. So if your pet is nervous, it’s probably because they aren’t used to the vibration and pressure on their paw. But once my dogs knew they were safe, They stopped and fully let me grind their nail. This will require trust between you and your pet.This product is awesome because one of my girls needs to have her nails filed after a nail trim because her nails are prone to splitting, so she gets these REALLY BAD deeply broken nails if I don’t smooth out her nails after a trim.Traditional nail filing and trimming is also WAY MESSIER than this machine. There’s hardly any clean up with this product because chunks of nails aren’t flying everywhere!!!I also like that it’s light, as in lightweight.This product is so easy to hold that you can hold it upside down as if you were holding a pencil, and still get GREAT up close precision while you’re grinding the nail.It comes with a black shield/guard that I personally like to use because it holds allot of the fine dust, but if you don’t want to use it, or if it gets in the way of your field of vision, it’s easily removable by just twisting and pulling off.And I LOVE how it gives such a smooth and rounded finish!! It’s great because their nails WON’T crack or split later.Can’t stop saying enough good things about the product.If you’re on the fence about this, JUST GET IT!!!

Too hard to get my cats nails or even get them to stay still

The light helps you see where the quick is, and the grinder is easy to use. Dog actually dozed off while he was having his nails ground down with this!

I used this for the first time today on my Pomeranian.While it does grind down the nail, it doesn't do it that well. That may not necessarily be a bad thing. The slower it grinds, the less heat it will generate.This is not a tool you want to use in order to grind down long nails. This is basically better used at the end to smooth the nail after it's been cut.I worry about her hair getting sucked up and ripped out so I was careful not to have fur close when I was using it.Neither my Pit Bull or my Pomeranian like the sound. My Pomeranian started shaking despite taking the time to show her it won't hurt her. My Pit on the other hand won't let me go anywhere near her paws with it. She is not a fan of her paws being touched but definitely not with anything that makes noise.I'm not sure I'll be continuing use on my Pomeranian. She's still a little traumatized.Since I was unable to use it for all nails on my Pom, I can't comment whether or not it'll work long term.Not a bad price to try out though.
