Doing the job!
I bought this radon vent fan to address, moderately high radon, approximately 4 - 7 pCI/L in a 1500 sf basement constructed in 2005 with passive radon venting. I chose this fan after testing my basement with a Corentium Home Radon Detector by Airthings 223 Portable. In total, I spent about $300 to get my radon levels to 1 - 2 pCI/L (good to very good "safe" levels). Later I spoke to a guy at work who said he spent $1200 to address his moderately high radon. He said the professional used the same detector as I bought. Now I have levels presumably as low as his, but unlike him I continue to have the ability of hourly monitoring (alkaline batteries in the detector last for about two years of 24/7 monitoring). In my situation since the 3" vent already existed it was a simple matter of using a hacksaw to cut the PVC pipe twice, to remove about 6" of vent pipe and a drill to install the suction gauge. I am achieving 1.5 inches of suction. I guess if I could do it all over I might go with a fan that achieves slightly more suction. I just made an educated guess how powerful of a fan I needed and got pretty lucky, I guess. I figured if I missed and would have to buy a more or less powerful fan I would still be in at less than half the cost of a professional. Honestly I would like to be at 2". At any rate, I feel safe now and needless to say, my coworker feels a little cheated. I guess some people trust "professionals" more than themselves. With Youtube and a little common sense, to me DIY is a no-brainer even when it comes to something as serious as radon.

Easy install
This kit has almost everything you need to add this system to your home as long as you have the plumbing already in place. Donโt forget a power cord that is sold separately if you have an outlet to plug into.

This is the c version, not the pro version
If you're trying to buy the pro version, this isn't it. Even though the ad doesn't say it, you get the 145c version (c=contractor). There are other cheaper versions of that for sale. I was disappointed that I spent extra money expecting the pro version. This version does not have a ground wire, as others have said. And no ground screw either since the electrical box on the unit is plastic like the rest of the body. Also, per the manufacturer's website, the c version, which is the contractor version, will yellow over time. The pro version would stay white.

No Ground Wire in RP145c
For the non-professional installers RadonAway sells the RP145c (c is for consumers). The bundle also comes with a manual, manometer and two 3โ/4โ brackets. The RadonAway website states that the wiring diagram includes a hot (black), neutral (white) and ground (green) for connecting your RP145c to a plug. Amazon wants to bundle the wire with your purchase. Upon inspection of the owners manual thereโs a sticker that states 2-wire wiring diagram. This is confirmed by the label on the unit that confirms only 2-wire setup. Asked the electrician about this and they said there should be a ground. Definitely feel like RadonAway has set a low safety bar with this model (RP145c) versus the RP145.

Excellent
I installed this in a couple of hours including prep, cutting PVC, wiring, etc. It took our radon down from 10.4 in the basement to 1.2, and has been running silently for a couple of months. It comes with good instructions also.

Easy Installation
The house was pre-plumbed for a Radon mitigation system when it was built. All I had to do was cut the 3" PVC pipe exiting above the garage, insert the Radon fan, tighten 2 rubber boot clamps and plug it into a nearby outlet. The fan is super quiet and cannot be heard even if you are close to it. The install kit had everything needed for a "professional" installation. Radon was measuring about 5.8 to 8.0 peviously. After running a couple of weeks, it now measures about 1.40. Does what it claims to do!

Attachments were great!
The package provided everything I needed (except the electrical) so it just made it super easy for a person with zero experience installing this in my attic. It is all working and the Dynameter shows the correct readings.
