- Filamentive rPLA filament is tougher and less brittle compared to regular PLA
- Filamentive rPLA retains the limited smell of virgin PLA
- Filamentive wants you to be fully satisfied when buying from us, so we offer a 90 Day Money Back Guarantee
- Storage: Cool and dry (60-75°F) and away from UV light. This enhances the shelf life significantly.
- 90% of Filamentive rPLA filament originates from waste sources, so you have peace of mind you have helped the planet by using our filament.
- Unlike many other brands, Filamentive promises to provide 1kg of filament, not just a 1kg spool - where the actual filament weight is 700-750 grams and the reel makes up the rest.
- Our 1.75mm spools will contain around 330 meters (over 1080') in length, of filament
- Filamentive rPLA does not warp during print - which means you can even use rPLA on printers without a heated bed!
- Filamentive manufactures to strict diameter and roundness parameters to guarantee consistency and therefore ensure optimal quality 3D prints and prevent printer problems
- Every Filamentive spool we sell is visually inspected before leaving the factory
- Filamentive rPLA can be used on all common desktop FDM or FFF technology 3D printers
- All Filamentive filaments arrive vacuum sealed with desiccant, in their own shrink-wrapped, recyclable box
The staple of desktop 3D printing - (PLA) short for Poly(lactic acid) is a sustainable and bioactive thermoplastic aliphatic polyester derived from renewable resources, such as corn starch, tapioca roots, chips or starch, or sugarcane, meaning it is more environmentally friendly compared to ABS for example, and produces very few greenhouse gas emissions during its manufacture. However, most PLA on the market still originates from virgin sources, which depletes natural resources faster than they can be replenished. With the growth of 3D printing, there is an increase in demand for PLA sources. Filamentive has pioneered rPLA, still featuring the same great PLA features - such as low warping, limited smell and premium print quality - but now has the added benefit of being produced from factory waste streams as opposed to virgin pellets. All users of rPLA can feel good about reducing the demand for natural resources and therefore saving the environment, but can also be confident the print quality will still be one of the best on the market!
